NetEase has revealed their new upcoming map and heroes officially yesterday along with the full patch notes for Marvel Rivals Season 1.5. This will go live on February 21, 2025.

Many heroes have received buffs and nerfs this time and it seems Devs are really paying close attention to the fan’s feedback and higher comp lobbies. Let’s check out more details in this article.

Hero Balance adjustments for Marvel Rivals Season 1.5

Here are the full patch notes for the 2nd half of the Marvel Rivals season 1:

First, let’s have a look at all the Vanguard adjustments.

Captain America

  • He will be able to shield himself with Living Legend while leaping.
  • Increase the projectile speed of the Vibranium Energy Saw from 60 to 80 m/s, with ricochets increasing from 100 to a supercharged 150 m/s.
  • Lower the energy cost of Freedom Charge (ultimate ability) from 3100 to 2800.
  • Improve Captain America’s combat experience by separating Sentinel Strike from melee assaults. Captain America can perform melee strikes when his shield is thrown or during the Team-Up Ability Charged Aegis state to activate Sentinel Strike’s first two hits. Additionally, while flying, melee assaults will no longer activate the Super-Soldier Slam ability.

Groot

  • Increase Thornlash Wall placement range from 15 meters to 18 meters.

Doctor Strange

  • Reduce base health from 650 to 600.

Magneto

  • Increase the Iron Volley projectile damage from 35 to 40.
  • Increase the energy consumption of the Metallic Curtain from 50 to 65 per second; reduce the maximum duration from 2 to 1.5 seconds.

Thor

  • Remove the shared cooldown time after the duration of Awakening Rune ends.

Venom

  • Adjust Frenzied Arrival’s knockback effect from vertical to inward, with a 75° inward knockback angle.
  • Lower the energy cost of Feast of the Abyss (ultimate ability) from 2800 to 2500.

Now, let’s take a look at the Duelist changes:

Hawkeye

  • Increase the base health from 250 to 275.
  • Reduce Blast Arrow’s projectile damage from 20 to 15, while increasing spell field damage from 25 to 32.
  • Reduce Crescent Slash’s cooldown time from 15 seconds to 12 seconds.
  • Increase bow draw speed while using Hunter’s Sight (Ultimate Ability) and increase damage multiplier from 1.2 to 1.35.

Black Widow

  • After using her Ultimate Ability, Natasha’s combat effectiveness has increased, boosting the threat level to enemies.
  • Increase the Red Room Rifle’s magazine capacity from eight to fifteen.
  • Reduce the sluggish effect of Electro-Plasma Explosion (Ultimate Ability) on foes by 80% to 55%. It will also apply a 15% Vulnerability effect to adversaries for four seconds.

Hela

  • The Damage Falloff of Nightsword Thorn at 30 meters will be changed from 70% to 80% in Marvel Rivals.

Iron Fist

  • Reduce the damage of Jeet Kune Do’s first, second, and fifth strikes from 32 to 30, while the third and fourth strikes deliver 15 instead of 16. The final, deadly 6th hit has been reduced from 55 to 50. The cooldown reduction for Dragon’s Defense has been increased from 1 to 1.5 seconds. Each attack from Yat Jee Chung Kuen will take a knock, falling from 19 to 10 flat damage. However, each Yat Jee Chung Kuen strike now delivers an additional hit, doing damage equal to 1.7% of the opponent’s maximum health (included during Living Chi).
  • Increase Harmony Recovery’s bonus maximum health from 50 to 150. There is also a new decay mechanism for the extra health: one second after the ability expires, the extra health depletes at a rate of 25 health per second.
  • Increase the maximum Bonus Health converted from blocked damage during Dragon’s Defense from 150 to 200.
  • Increase the base health from 250 to 300.

Iron Man

  • Increase the Unibeam damage from 120/s to 140/s.
  • Increase Unibeam’s (Armor Overdrive) damage from 180 to 190 per second.

Magik

  • Decrease Demon’s Rage (normal state) damage from 80/s to 72/s.
  • Lower the energy cost of Darkchild (ultimate ability) from 3700 to 3400 in Marvel Rivals.

Mister Fantastic

  • Flexible Elongation increases the spell field radius after landing by 2.5 meters to 5 meters. Furthermore, Flexible Elongation will now have a knockback effect that launches foes outward inside the area upon landing. The recharge time for a single application of Flexible Elongation will be increased from 8s to 10s.
  • Increase the damage of the Brainiac Bounce (Ultimate Ability) spell from 50 to 70. Increase the energy costs from 2800 to 3400. In addition, a new damage decay mechanism has been introduced: spell field damage will begin to reduce at 3 meters and reach a maximum reduction of 50 at 10 metres.

Scarlet Witch

  • Gain an additional 100 Bonus Health upon activating Reality Erasure (Ultimate Ability). After the ability ends or is interrupted, this Bonus Health will decay at a rate of 50/s.

Moon Knight

  • Reduced the pace with which Khonshu’s talons fell.
  • Adjust the damage trigger logic for Hand of Khonshu. The former mechanism that inflicted 75 damage when placed in the center of the spell field has been eliminated. Increase the damage per hit from 75 to 150 in Marvel Rivals.

Spider-Man

  • Reduce Web-Cluster energize time from 3s to 2.5s.

Star-Lord

  • Increase Rocket Propulsion’s maximum energy from 1200 to 1800.

Storm

  • The damage falloff of wind blades at 30 meters will be reduced from 70% to 60%.
  • Reduce Storm’s damage boost from Thunder during Weather Control from 16% to 12%. However, the damage increase for teammates within range has increased from 8% to 10%.
  • Reduce Storm’s damage boost from Enhanced Thunder during Weather Control from 30% to 25%.

Now, it’s time to have a look at Strategist adjustments in Marvel Rivals season 1.5:

Cloak & Dagger

  • Increase the energy cost of activating Eternal Bond (Ultimate Ability) from 3400 to 4000. The healing rate for each segment will be boosted from 220/s to 250/s, the duration reduced from 10s to 8s, and the pause period between segments reduced from 1s to 0.67s. Each segment’s healing effect will no longer stack; when they overlap, just one healing effect will be applied. Activating Eternal Bond also unlocks camera control.
  • Increase Terror Cape’s vulnerability against foes from 20% to 28%.

Adam Warlock

  • Increase Quantum Magic’s damage from 55 to 60. Furthermore, the Damage Falloff at 40 meters will increase from 50% to 60%.
  • Increase Soul Bond’s healing rate for linked allies from 10 to 15 per second in Marvel Rivals.

Invisible Woman

  • Increase the energy cost of Invisible Boundary (ultimate ability) from 4000 to 4300.

Luna Snow

  • Increase the energy cost to activate Fate of Both Worlds (Ultimate Ability) from 4000 to 4500.

Loki

  • Raise the energy cost of God of Mischief (ultimate ability) from 3400 to 4000.
  • Increase the Mystical Missile charge from 10 to 12.

Team-Up abilities changes in Marvel Rivals Season 1.5

Dimensional Shortcut

  • The Rewind Time for Psionic Disc has been reduced from 5s to 3s. In addition, the ratio of lost health to blue armor will be increased from 0.5 to 0.8.
  • Wakandan Master’s rewind time has been reduced from 5s to 3s. In addition, the ratio of lost health to blue armor will be increased from 0.5 to 0.8.

Atlas Bond

  • Increase Frozen Chi’s healing power from 50 to 75, and the sluggish effect on opponents from 20% to 30%.

Gamma Charge

  • Reduce Unibeam (Gamma Overdrive) damage from 220/s to 200/s.
  • Reduce Hulk’s Team-Up Anchor health bonus from 150 to 100.

Lunar Force

  • Full Moon New Effect: Continuously heal Moon Knight for 25 health per/s while within the effect area in Marvel Rivals.

Symbiote Bond

  • Reduce Spider-Man’s Suit Expulsion duration from 4s to 1s. Replace the 50% damage reduction effect with a new invincibility effect during the duration.
  • Reduce Peni Parker’s Armor Expulsion duration from 4s to 2s. Replace the 50% damage reduction effect with a new invincibility effect during the duration.
