Los Blancos captain sees their new signing Eden Hazard as a world-class player and explains why he had to call the press conference earlier this month.

Sergio Ramos is excited to play with 'world-class' player Eden Hazard for Real Madrid. The 33-year-old believes he is a good reinforcement to the squad that found hard to deal with the outgoing of Cristiano Ronaldo.

After months and years of speculations, Eden Hazard's dream move to Santiago Bernabeu was confirmed earlier this week. The move was evident ever since Zidane saw the 21-year-old Hazard winning everything in France for Lille.

A favourite of Zizou, Eden Hazard, though moved to Stamford Bridge to spend seven trophy-laden years with the Blues. The Belgian international won the Premier League and Europa League twice.

But the 28-year-old always had his eyes set for a move to Real Madrid, the club he supported ever since he started playing. The playmaker wanted the move to happen even more when Zinedine Zidane, his idol, became the manager and started winning Champions Leagues.

But Chelsea managed to keep stalling the move until Hazard finally decided to act. And the Belgian playmaker is now welcomed by the club captain and legend Sergio Ramos.

"I think it's a great signing. He is a world-class player. It is good to reinforce the squad."

Ramos was said to be looking for a move out of the club himself. President Perez confirmed openly that the defender came to him with an offer he had received from China.

The defender, to stop all the speculations and clear the doubts of his Madridistas, called a press conference to declare that if he ever was to leave the club, he would leave as a winner. The defender also expressed his wishes of retiring at the Bernabeu.

"I had to go out to give the press conference. I think it was best for everyone. The important thing was to turn the page and not talk about it any more," he said.
