Bollywood stars Tiger Shroff and Disha Patani set the stage on fire at the ISL 2019-20 opening ceremony.
The sixth season of the Hero Indian Super League kicked off at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, Kochi on 20th October 2019 with Bollywood actors Tiger Shroff and Disha Patani starring at the opening ceremony.
It was raining heavily in Kochi before and during the opening match but it did not stop the two from dancing to a number of songs. Tiger performed to his recent hit track 'Jai Jai Shivshankar' from the movie War, in which he starred alongside Hrithik Roshan, among other songs.
[KH_ADWORDS type="3" align="center"][/KH_ADWORDS]Internationally acclaimed Indian dance team Kings United, who won the World of Dance competition recently, also displayed an energetic performance at what was a grandeur opening ceremony.
Kerala Blasters co-owner and Telugu actor Chiranjeevi and ATK co-owner Sourav Ganguly, along with FSDL Chairperson Nita Ambani, were also present at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium as the sixth edition of the ISL flagged off at Kochi.
While Malayalam movie actor Dulquer Salmaan, who recently acted in the movie Zoya Factor with Sonam Kapoor, was announced as the anchor for the show, he did not come out to the pitch. However, Dulquer was in attendance at the stadium and was seen taking pictures with Indian football legend IM Vijayan.
The heavy rain did not stop the Manjappada from flocking into the JLN Stadium on Sunday as an attendance of above 36,000 was recorded on the evening.
Kerala Blasters defeated ATK 2-1 and claimed the three points in the opening match that followed the star-studded opening ceremony.
