However earlier this year Randy’s father Bob Orton spoke to Bill Apter of Wrestle Binge that Orton is recovering well and he was suggested by the doctors not to step foot inside the wrestling ring. However, Bob said that Orton is looking to return to the ring as soon as possible.
In the first week of August ahead of SummerSlam, Wrestling Journalist Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select reported that Orton is not cleared from his medical conditions The report also stated that Orton hasn't started his in-ring training yet and has just begun his gym sessions for weight lifting. At this stage, a major update on Randy Orton’s WWE status has been released, which could make the whole WWE Universe happy.
