Watch: Jey Uso’s reaction to Randy Orton being on their War Games team for Survivor Series
Jey Uso seems nervous when Cody Rhodes announced Randy Orton as the fifth member of their War Games team.
Since Adam Pearce announced the War Games match between Judgment Day and the team of Cody Rhodes, Seth Rollins, Sami Zayn & Jey Uso, there has been rumors that the four on four would be becoming five-on-five as it was held in the same way last year. Last week on Raw, when Drew McIntyre attacked Jey and cost them their Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championship, shook hands with Rhea Ripley. It was reported that Drew McIntyre might possibly join Judgment Day and enter the War Games Match as the fifth member of their team.
Cody Rhodes also dropped a spoiler of bringing his old friend back to counter Drew McIntyre after Raw went off air. Cody again teased on X with a Marvel picture of their team and wrote “Seems like we need one more” mentioning WWE.
WWE botched Orton’s return on its Instagram handle by posting a video from Survivor Series 2011, where Orton delivered an RKO to Hunico, with the caption, “You just never know when an RKO is going to pop up #SurvivorSeries”.
After few moments of posting the video, WWE changed the caption to “Gets us every time #SurvivorSeries”. However, the caption got the attention of many WWE fans and they reported the botch as a confirmation of Orton’s return.
We reported earlier that Randy Orton could likely return to Monday Night Raw ahead of Survivor Series 2023. Following that, Orton’s return was confirmed by Cody Rhodes on Raw.
Randy Orton return confirmed
On the latest episode of the Survivor Series go-home show of Raw, Drew McIntyre announced that he has not joined The Judgment Day, but will be in the War Games match on their side. He said that he is the fifth member of Judgment Day’s team for Survivor Series and thanked Rhea Ripley. Jey Uso with Seth Rollins, Sami Zayn and Cody Rhodes came to confront Drew McIntyre and Judgment Day, where Adam Cole announced the babyfaces team to find the fifth member of their team and announce it by the end of the night and one member from each side to have a match tonight for the War Games advantage within the first hour of the show.
Judgment Day confirmed Drew McIntyre and the babyfaces team confirmed Jey Uso for the match. They had a discussion of bringing one for the team, where Sami Zayn told of bringing one from SmackDown (probably Kevin Owens in mind), but Cody said that he has a old-friend who could fill the spot.
Before the Advantage Match, McIntyre told The Judgment Day members that he will not only bring the advantage, but also would take away Jey Uso from entering the cage. Seth Rollins and Sami Zayn advised Jey Uso to bring the advantage on their side and sent him to the ring. After Cody told Seth Rollins and Sami Zayn, he called his old friend and he said that he will be in.
Jey lost the advantage after a tough fight against Drew McIntyre, making Judgment Day gaining the advantage. Rhea Ripley asked McIntyre to end Jey, which became a brawl after the involvement of both the team members. Team Cody, Seth, Sami and Jey stood on the ring, where Cody said that they didn’t worry about having Drew McIntyre and gaining the advantage, but they are not alone.
Cody said that they found the fifth member and he had a ‘Legacy’ with him, where the WWE Universe understood who he was talking about. The Judgment Day stared at them, where Cody said don’t see us like we are your ‘prey’, as they are not ‘prey’ but got the ‘Apex Predator’ with them. As the crowd started chanting “Randy”, Cody said that the WWE Universe too knows who he is, because they could “hear the voices in their head”. And Cody said that the WWE Universe is right.
Jey Uso reacts
The segment was lit, but what was more lit than this was Jey’s reaction, when Cody Rhodes reveals Randy Orton as the fifth member of their team. Jey was feared and nervous of Orton’s return. See how Jey reacted when Cody Rhodes announced Randy Orton is on their team.
What’s the connection?
Last time when Randy Orton was on television was back in May 2022 on an episode of SmackDown, where Randy Orton & Matt Riddle defended their Raw Tag Team Championship against The Usos (Jey and Jimmy ) in the very same ring at Van Andel Arena in Grand Rapids, Michigan, where this week’s Raw held. Where, Orton injured his back while wrestling against Jey and lost their tag team gold. Jey’s look indicates that he is surrounded by the enemies, with whom he developed problems with in the past when he was in The Bloodline.
Considering the current situation, Jey had backstory problems with Cody Rhodes, Sami Zayn, Seth Rollins, Drew McIntyre and now Randy Orton. Will the Viper strike back on his own teammate? We need to wait and watch.
With this going on the babyfaces side Drew McIntyre posted a picture of Randy Orton and him standing face to face and wrote “Hello Darkness, my old friend #SurvivorSeries”.
