WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event saw the coronation of brand new champions and a new landscape of top titleholders in the company.
The November edition of WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event was a blockbuster event with captivating matches and memorable moments.
Furthermore, the card featured all matches with top championships at stake that saw a drastic shift in the landscape of the Stamford-based promotion. So, here are all the champions from RAW and SmackDown coming out of this Saturday Night’s Main Event episode.
WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event saw two new champions crowned
The night kicked off with the Undisputed WWE Championship match between Cody Rhodes and Drew McIntyre. The duo delivered a classic showdown, but the champion used some questionable tactics to win the match. This saw him deliver a DDT to McIntyre on the belt, which he followed with a Cross Rhodes to pin him.
Another huge title match saw Jade Cargill’s new heel side battle a less-than-100 % Tiffany Stratton for her WWE Women’s Championship. Despite a valiant effort and dealing with a knee injury, Stratton fell to The Storm, who planted her with a Jaded to become the new champion.
Dominik Mysterio‘s antics on RAW to have Los Americanos interfere in a No.1 contender’s match for his Intercontinental title landed him in a soup. He defended his title against both Penta and Rusev in a triple threat match at WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event. While it was surely an uphill battle for the Judgment Day member, Mysterio eventually found a way to slither away with his belt.
The night’s main event saw Jey Uso square off against CM Punk for the vacant World Heavyweight Championship. The two top RAW stars left everything in the ring to once again hold the title. However, it was a series of multiple GTS by Punk that sealed the win for him, and he became the new World Champion.
