Five booking errors which might hurt WWE Wrestlepalooza; ESPN's first PLE

WWE Wrestlepalooza has been a lackluster PLE in terms of storylines and buildup.
WWE is gearing up for its newest Premium Live Event, Wrestlepalooza, which will take place on September 20 at the Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, Indiana.
While the show is set to feature marquee names, there have been multiple errors made by WWE as their first PLE debuting on ESPN approaches. Here are the five booking mistakes that WWE made on the road to Wrestlepalooza.
5. Less focus on storylines
The road to WWE Wrestlepalooza has been less storyline-driven. On a long-term basis, no single feud has kept the fans glued to their television programming. So, the buildup has been lackluster, which could affect its success when it debuts on ESPN.
4. Heavily dependent on big WWE stars

Another major reason that WWE has made a blunder regarding Wrestlepalooza is the prime focus on marquee WWE superstars. Names like John Cena, Brock Lesnar, CM Punk, and AJ Lee have been roped in for the event, putting a lot of dependency on star power that in-ring actions and storylines.
3. Weak buildup for the PLE
WWE Wrestlepalooza could also be affected by the weak buildup heading into the event. Top storylines like John Cena-Brock Lesnar feud did not have a lengthy program involving brawls and back-and-forth exchanges, which could prove to be a decisive error on WWE’s part when they arrive in Indianapolis.
2. Cody Rhodes’ late return

The WWE Universe saw the return of Cody Rhodes this week on Friday Night SmackDown. He was later announced to battle Drew McIntyre with his Undisputed WWE title on the line. The American Nightmare had been missing for weeks and came back only a week before Wrestlepalooza to resume his program with McIntyre. This might not generate major interest among the fanbase to tune into their match at Wrestlepalooza and could be seen as a popcorn break bout, despite two top stars involved.

1. Roman Reigns’ absence

A major mistake that WWE made on their part for Wrestlepalooza is the absence of one of their megastars, Roman Reigns. They could easily omit The OTC from their last PLE, Clash in Paris, and schedule him for the ESPN debut special event. This could prove to be a huge blunder, leaving out a top attraction like Reigns from the card.
