Cody Rhodes retains Undisputed WWE Title against Logan Paul at King and Queen of the Ring 2024

“The American Nightmare” prevails in the first encounter with “The Maverick”

At WWE King and Queen of the Ring, Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes faced United States Champion Logan Paul in a highly anticipated match for the Undisputed WWE Championship.

After heroically finishing his story by defeating Roman Reigns at WrestleMania, Cody Rhodes solidified his reign with a hard-fought victory over AJ Styles at Backlash in France. Upon returning to SmackDown, Rhodes quickly learned from General Manager Nick Aldis that his next challenger would be none other than Logan Paul, setting the stage for a monumental showdown in Saudi Arabia.

Rhodes, now the face of WWE’s new era, stands at the pinnacle of the wrestling world. However, Logan Paul, the Social Media Sensation, claims that WWE’s recent surge in popularity is due to his influence, not Rhodes’. This match will determine who truly deserves the credit for WWE’s success. Let’s see who will win to settle the score and prove who is the rightful standard-bearer of WWE in this epic encounter.

What happened in the match?

The challenger, the social media King, Logan Paul, was the first to enter the ring in his usual way with a Prime bottle in his hands. Next came “The American Nightmare” in blue with the crowd roaring his entrance music. As the bell rang Logan kept maintaining his distance. Both men started with grappling each other but both men looked competent.

Whenever Cody Rhodes looked in momentum somehow Paul would manage to get out of his clutches. But both men kept keeping their footing. But then both the men started trading blows but Rhodes countered it into a slingshot suplex.

But Logan later started gaining control by smashing Cody into a steel post. Logan kept hurting Cody Rhodes in a corner and later hit a powerbomb face-buster. As Logan Paul looked to end it, Cody Rhodes kicked out. Logan kept hurting “The American Nightmare” controlling the match.

But Rhodes somehow managed to power himself up and started attacking Logan Paul smashing him into the barricades. But, with his Prime entourage Logan again got a brass knuckle hitting Rhodes on his ribs.

Michael Cole seeing this started calling Paul a weasal distracting Logan Paul for Cody Rhodes to capitalize and gain momentum. As Rhodes got fired up he got ready to hit his finisher but Logan Paul managed to counter and kept attacking Cody’s ribs. Logan Paul then set Cody Rhodes on the announce table to hit a pedigree but Cody fought back and hit Logan with a Cody Cutter.

Cody tried to get Logan Paul inside the ring but the cunning “Maverick” again set Rhodes on the announce table to hit a frog splash. Logan then took Cody to the ring. But Rhodes kicked out. Later Logan Paul went low on the champion and started setting Rhodes but Ibrahim stopped Paul from using his brass knuckles helping Cody Rhodes to win hitting Paul with three crossroads.
