Balor is currently a part of ‘The Judgement Day’

During an interview on the What’s The Story podcast, Finn Balor discussed the prospect of working with the intriguing group Wyatt Sicks, fronted by Uncle Howdy. Balor expressed excitement about the cooperation, hoping it will lead to some unforgettable moments. However, he indicated unequivocally that he would not reprise his ‘Demon’ identity for any hypothetical plot.

“I’d love to work with The Wyatt Sicks. I feel like we could do some cool s**t there… I would like to keep Finn as a heel and The Demon as the babyface and not blur the lines at all,” Balor shared.

Finn Balor is known for his “Deon” alter ego

Balor’s Demon character, known for its supernatural aura, was a significant part of his identity in WWE NXT and later on the main roster, reserved for high-stakes matches. Despite its initial success, the Demon has faced challenges in recent years, notably enduring losses against Roman Reigns and at WrestleMania 39 against Edge in a Hell In A Cell match.

Reflecting on the recent portrayal of the Demon, Balor remarked, “But it’s so hard and I feel like The Demon’s kind of something that we haven’t executed very well the last couple years and I’d rather not-not do it than do it in a way that I’m not happy with so, and look, in six years time, they can throw me out there in Demon paint and I’ll do the entrance.”

Finn Balor doesn’t rule out possibility of The Demon returning

While Balor doesn’t rule out a future return of the Demon, he is currently enjoying his role as a heel and feels it offers more depth and storytelling opportunities than the Demon character.

“But now, Finn’s having too much fun and I feel like I can give a lot more layers as a heel Finn than The Demon. The Demon’s just very straightforward. He’s like a bulldozer. He just goes straight for the kill, where Finn’s a little bit more sneaky and there’s more story arcs you can tell with Finn versus a supernatural Demon so…” he explained.

Currently, Balor is one-half of the WWE World Tag Team Champions with JD McDonagh and is not planning to leave WWE anytime soon. While fans may hope for the Demon’s return in the future, Balor’s focus remains on developing his current character and exploring new story arcs as a heel.
