A number of iconic fan signs became a huge talking point in WWE!
WWE is one of the most popular professional wrestling promotions for over four decades. The company is widely popular for hosting great shows and producing some of the popular stars. The shows and superstars have separate fan bases and the fans play a major role in the upliftment of their careers.
WWE fans are known for showing their emotions both on and off the screen on a number of occasions. One such iconic way the fans could react is by using the fan signs. So here we take a look at the top five most iconic fan signs in WWE history.
5. Tribal “Queef”
In Royal Rumble 2023, Roman Reigns made his entrance with the Bloodline, where the entrance noted something hilarious.
A fan held a chart saying ‘Tribal Queef’ on Roman’s entrance. WWE tapings captured the sign and it caught the attention of the WWE fans online. However, the new tapings seemingly ignored the existence of the sign.
4. Dean “T*tty Master” Ambrose
In 2014, Dean Ambrose used to wear wrist tapes for house shows, with T*t Master written on it. This turned into a meme and a fan brought the “Dean T*tty Master Ambrose” sign to WWE TV on an episode of Raw. The sign was clearly seen on TV, as the fan raised it next to the Shield’s entrance. This was hilarious, as WWE telecasted the full tape with the sign on TV.
3. “Don’t feel Bad Shane”
IN 2001, Vince McMahon aligned with Trish Stratus and tried to dump his wife Linda McMahon. During the rivalry, Vince claimed that he regretted that Shane McMahon was ever born. To which a fan brought a sign chart saying, “Don’t feel bad Shane, My Dad regretted my birth too”. The fan took self-depreciation to make the feud between the father and son light.
2. “If Cena wins we Riot”
At ECW One Night Stand 2006, Rob Van Dam invited John Cena to formally cash in his Money in the Bank contract on his WWE Championship. Cena was in a hostile situation surrounded by the ECW fans. The ECW fans were wild and the iconic “If Cena wins we Riot” fan signs appeared on the TV. If Cena had won the match there is a high chance that the fans would have rioted, but luckily Rob Van Dam won the match and the WWE Championship. Although there were a number of ‘riot’ signs featured in WWE, this sign remains to be epic.
1. “Cody Cry Baby”
In 2024, when Cody Rhodes began his rivalry with The Rock over who would main event WrestleMania, the fans stood with Cody, wanting him to finish his story. The Rock was extremely angry with Cody Rhodes & Cody’s supporters and named his supporters “Cody Cry Babies”. Although Rock mocked the fans, the fans used it as a term to call themselves “Cody Cry Baby” with a number of Cody Cry Baby signs appearing on the show. This is one of the iconic fan signs that the company will ever forget in recent times.
