WWE RAW Results & Winners (September 23, 2024): Jey Uso wins Intercontinental Championship

The September 23, 2024 episode of Monday Night Raw is officially over and it is one of the must watch shows in recent times. WWE showcased some great matches and segments on the show including the IC title match. Get to know what happened this week on Raw, as we came put with the complete show summary, highlights, results and winner’s list.
WWE Raw Summary & Highlights
Liv Morgan & Dominik Mysterio – Rhea Ripley
Dominik Mysterio & Liv Morgan arrive on a Low Rider and they walked their way to the ring to kick-off Monday Night Raw. Liv mocks the WWE Universe and showcase The Judgment Day’s attack on Terror Twins.
She feels that everything is going per her Revenge Tour. Rhea Ripley interrupted them. Mami wants Liv to shut her mouth and says that she doesn’t came to hit her. Mami! chants began. Dom stare Rhea and Liv said that Dom would have stood with her if she show half of her care, she shows for Damian Priest.
Liv said that she is over Rhea. Mami stopped her asking only way Liv is champion is because of Dom. She says that Dom won’t be a problem at Bad Blood, because Dom will be hanging in the shark cage during the match. Ripley says that Liv will lose, with nobody to help and headbutts her to end the segment.
Sami Zayn vs Ludwig Kaiser
The match began during the commercial and Ludwig Kaiser took advantage of Sami Zayn beating him outside and dragging inside the ring. Kaiser with a back to back drop kick making damage. Sami fights back with the axe handle and clothesline to send Kaiser out. Sami chops Kaiser and tried for a Moondault from the barricade, but Kaiser pushed him to the timekeeper’s area.
Kaiser used the sneak attack as his advantage and kicked Sami Zayn’s head to the steel steps. Kaiser tried to use it as an advantage to deliver the hammer lock DDT, but Sami counters it with a German Suplex and performed an Helluva kick for the win. After the match, Gunther confronted him and said that he begged him for weeks and he finally says No again, mocking Sami.
Backstage- The New Day & American Made
Xavier Woods and Kofi Kingston talk about bringing the New Day back on track. Kofi brought BootyO’s and Trombone, but Woods says that it is not about the Souvenir but to get back on track. They wanted the title. American Made confronted them and mocked them. Kofi made fun of them and they said that they are done with Wyatt Sicks. They look to challenge for the tag titles.
Backstage- Dominik Mysterio & Liv Morgan
Dom and Liv argue with Adam Pearce on why he agreed to put Dom on the Shark Cage. Pearce said that Dom interfered in every Women’s title match and wanted to avoid this. JD and Carlito met them and they have a business to handle. They met Ilja Dragunov. Dragunov said that since Balor is not here, they will be nothing without them. Carlito has a match and they walked away.
Dragon Lee vs Carlito
Right after the bell rung, Dragon Lee took Carlito out to deliver a Suicide Dive and a kick to the nose. Carlito fights back with a clothesline and Lee regains momenthm with a overhead kick, springboard stomp and a basement drop kick. Lee went for the top rope, but Dom and JD with the distract him. Dom and JD took Joaquin Wilde and Cruz Del Toro, but Rey with a seated senton took them. Dragon with the distraction performed Operation Dragon and won the match.
Backstage- Karrion Kross & The Miz
Karrion Kross met The Miz before his match against Bronson Reed. Miz asks why he is here and Kross said that he wanted Miz to be Miz and doesn’s wanted him to worry about others. Kross has a evil smile, as Miz walks away.
Backstage- Sheamus & Pete Dunne
Sheamus was asked about what Dunne did to him last week, as he picked up the win against him using a cricket bat. Sheamus is not done with Dunne and chanted ‘Call him Butch’. He wanted to end his rivalry with Dunne in Irish style.
Bronson Reed & Braun Strowman Brawl
Before Bronson Reed makes his way to the ring, Braun Strowman jumped on him. Strowman performed a chokeslam over the apron. Miz went on to argue with Strowman, but Reed took them with a suicide dive. A bunch of securities tried to separate them, but Reed took thr securities down and performed Tsunami. On the other hand, Strowman threw the securities all over the ring. Reed climbed the rope to jump on Strowman, but Braun pushed all the securities and stopped him. Securities stopped them, but Braun performed a drop kick to send Reed out.
Drew McIntyre was live
Drew McIntyre says that he heard what Punk said last week and he is ready to die inside the Hell. Both family members doesn’t wanted to have this match. Drew doesn’t want to enter the Cell, because the previous two matches changed him a lot. He says that no matter what thr families think, he is entering the Hell. Drew says that it is Good vs Evil and wonders who’s good. He knows Punk is easy to break and he will break him again inside the cell.
Backstage- Pete Dunne attacks Sheamus
Adam Pearce announced a Last Man Dtanding Match between Bronson Reed & Braun Strowman next week. A brawl sound is heard, where Dunne attacked Sheamus with the Cricket Bat on the back, but securities separated them.
Unholy Union vs Damage CTRL
Isla Dawn and Iyo Sky start the match with Dawn taking initial control with strikes to the back and the facr, but Sky fights back and tagged Sane in. Kairi and Sky with a double team took Fyre and Dawn. Kairi performed a corner splash. Kairi got distracted by Alba Fyre and Dawll pulled her head to the ropes and sent her down. Fyre performed a suicide dive and took Kairi and Iyo down.
Back after commercial, Fyre and Dawn took Kairi in control, locking her in their corner. Dawn distracts the referee and Fyre attacked her wounded eye lid. Dawn tried to punch Kairi, but Kairi escapes and tags Iyo Sky in. Sky is fired up and takes down Fyre and Dawn single handedly.
Sky went delivered a missile drop kick to both the women. Fyre reverses the momentum to perform a superkick. Unholy Union looks for their finisher, but Kairi stopped Dawn. Kairi performed insane Elbow on Fyre outside the ring and Sky performed Moonsault from the top rope to pick uo the win.
The New Day vs American Made
Julius and Xavier stsrt the match with the initial control. Woods tries to fight back and tags Kofi in. Creed took Kofi to their corner to tah Brutus. He has a brief control over Kofi, until Kofi fights back. The New Day with double team innovative offences took Brutus down. Woods chops Brutus and he gibes it back. Woods is fired up and he took Brutus to the top rope. The New Day deliver a Vertical Super-plex from the top rope.
After the commercial, Woods tried to tag Kofi countering Creeds. But refree missed it out, as Gable distracted him. Gable uses the refree’s distraction to aatack Woods. Brutus uses the momentum to put Woods down. Woods pushed Brutus from top rope and tagged Kofi.
Kofi is fired up. He delivered a Trouble in Paradise to Brutus. He sent Julius out and jumped on them. Kofi performed a Trouble in Paradise on Julius and tags Woods. Kofi jumped on Brutus and Woods got distracted by Gable. Woods got made on Gable as he tossed him into the ring and landed strikes. However, blind attacked him and the Creeds delivered the Brutus Ball to win the match.
Damian Priest
Priest cuts a video tape promo against Finn Balor. Priest believed that Finn Balor was his brother. They were a family and they celebrated everything together. Balor was the one who was happy when Priest won the World title, but off screen he was a different person. He feels like Balor attacked Priest out of jealousy. Priest says Balor is not his brother anymore.
Backstage
LWO met New Day and Rey explained what happened last week. Woods cuts him off and called for a match with Rey. Rey said that he has match with Finn Balor next week and he will handle it with Woods later. Woods said that everybody is seeing him lite, as he is not a world champion. Rey changed his mind and said that he will face Woods next week.
Intercontinental Championship Match- Bron Breakker vs Jey Uso
Jey Uso locks Bron’s head, but Breakker fired up to take Jey down with a shoulder tackle. Jey locks his head again and hit a big uppercut, sending the champ out and performed a suicide dive. After the commercial, Bron with a paced up explosive slam fights back and sends Jey to the corner again and again. Bron delivered a suplex and locks him with an extension.
Both tried for a suplex, but Bron put Jey hanging on the top rope targeting his mid-section. Bron doesn’t wanna pin Jey looks to ounish him. Jey fights back with a overhead kick and send Bron outside the ring. Jey goes for a suicide dive, but Bron caught him. Bron put Jey on the announcement table and performed a clothesline from the apron.
After the commercial, Jey and Bron exchange hands wirh Jey having the upperhand. Jey performed a corner hip attack and went for the top rope for the splash, but Bron caught him to deliver a Gutbuster. Jey delivered a Samoan Drop for a nearfall.
Jey climbs the top rope, but Breakker performed a Freakin Steiner. Both exchange strikes. Bron hits an uppercut and Jey counters with a superkick. Bron delivered a Gorilla press powerslam, but Jey kicks out. Breakker delivered a spear with a long run outside the ring and took him to the ring for another, but Jey delivered a spear and performed a Uso Splash for a nearfall.
Bron sent Jey out and tried for another super spear, but Jey counters with a superkick and spears him through the barricade. He drags Bron to the ring and spear Bron again and delivered a splash to pin Bron and win the Intercontinental Championship.
WWE Raw Results
- Dominik Mysterio will be hanged in a Shark Cage at Bad Blood during the Rhea Ripley vs Liv Morgan match.
- Sami Zayn defeated Ludwig Kaiser by pinfall after Helluva kick. After the match, Gunther teased him of offering a title shot, but said no.
- Dragon Lee defeated Carlito by pinfall after Mission Dragon.
- Braun Strowman & Bronson Reed brawl all over the ring, resulting in a Last Man Standing Match next week.
- Drew McIntyre cut a promo against CM Punk addressing Punk’s promo last week and what will happen at Bad Blood.
- IYO SKY & Kairi Sane of Damage CTRL defeated Alba Fyre & Isla Dawn of Unholy Union by pinfall.
- Julius Creed & Brutus Creed of American Made defeated The New Day by pinfall.
- Jey Uso defeated Bron Breakker by pinfall after a couple of spear and Uso Splash to win the Intercontinental Championship.
