WWE SmackDown Results, Highlights & Winners (April 12, 2024): Tama Tonga replaces Jimmy Uso in The Bloodline
New Bloodline member debuts, Jimmy got kicked-out, #1 Contender’s Qualification match, Bayley’s new opponent & more!!!
The April 12, 2024 episode of WWE SmackDown is officially over and it is the WrestleMania 40 fallout show. The show featured a brand new begining of the rivalries, and new contenders. New contender’s for the Undisputed WWE Championship emerged and new Bloodline story began on this week’s show. Get to know what happened on this week’s episode of Friday Night SmackDown, as we came out with the complete show summary, highlights and results.
WWE SmackDown Summary & Highlights
“The American Nightmare” Cody Rhodes
Cody Rhodes kick-off Friday Night SmackDown. He addresses Rock’s confrontation on Raw and says that the gift was awkward. Cody sent a message to Rock saying that he will be here while he returns. He then comes to the business and his first title defense saying that he will be going to France three weeks later for Backlash PLE. He says that there are six competitors, who will be fighting in a couple of Triple Threat match tonight and any one will be his opponent at Backlash. He wished them good luck and ended the segment.
Backstage- The Bloodline
The Bloodline (Paul Heyman, Jimmy Uso, Solo Sikoa) were on the backstage searching for their locker room, but ended up seeing their locker room was given to Cody Rhodes. Heyman explains them, that the locker room belongs to the champion. To get there locker room back, they need to get the World Championship back in the Bloodline. Solo Sikoa says that he will take care of that.
Triple Threat Match- LA Knight vs Bobby Lashley vs Santos Escobar
As soon as the match began, both LA Knight & Bobby Lashley started attacking Santos Escobar. Escobar sneaks out. As Knight and Lashley went fighting outside the ring, Escobar took them down with a suicide dive.
After the commercial, Lashley took Escobar to the top ropes, looking for a vertical suplex. Escobar pushed Lashley down, however Knight caught him. Knight went for the vertical super-plex on Escobar and Lashley took both down with a powerbomb.
LA Knight tried to take down Escobar, where Angel Garza & Humberto interfered and attaxked Knight and Lashley. As LDF took control, Street Profits came to countter them and took the LDF out. Escobar looks to use the distraction to roll down Lashley, but he escaped. Lashley tried to spear Escobar, but ended up hitting the ring post. LA Knight hit the distracted Escobar with a BFT and won to advance.
Backstage- LWO
LWO were interviewed backstage and was asked about LDF denying backstage attack on Dragon Lee. Rey said that the truth will come out anyway & they were hyped for Rey’s match tonight.
The Bloodline
The Bloodline (Solo Sikoa, Paul Heyman & Jimmy Uso) arrived to the ring with Paul Heyman addressing Cody Rhodes win and last two year’s drama. Heyman says that Roman and The Bloodline agrees to the countability. Heyman blames none other than Seth Rollins for Roman Reigns’ loss, saying The Shield thing has never gone away from Roman’s mind.
Heyman said win & loss is a part of the match. Solo Sikoa stopped him and said that Win and Loss matters and so does a consequences for the loss. He walked near Jimmy to hug him and say that he loves him.
As Solo turns, a black hoodie guy attacked Jimmy Uso from the back, which revealed to be Tama Tonga. He is the real life cousin of The Usos & Solo Sikoa. Both Tama Tonga and Solo Sikoa assaulted Jimmy, rejecting the words of the wiseman. Solo delivered three Samoan Spikes to Jimmy and asked Heyman to rise for the ones.
Heyman with one hand raised, called Roman Reigns, but Solo broke his phone. Solo called Tonga to bring a chair. They put the chair on Jimmy’s face and Solo Sikoa hit his head with a Samoan Corner Hip Splash. Solo, Tonga and Heyman walked backstage, but Heyman has no idea, what is happening.
Cameron Grimes vs Bron Breakker
Both Grimes and Breakker tackle each other’s move, where Breakker’s speed took Grimes down. Grimes tried to fight back, by hitting three super kicks and went for a cutter from the top rope. However Breaker took him down and delivered a spear to pick-up the win.
Bayley, Tiffany Stratton & Naomi
The New WWE Women’s Champion, Bayley walked to the stage and addressed the WWE Universe. She said that she felt so refreshing to be the champion. She claims that she has won a number of championship, but this is special, and being the champion of the most talented locker room.
She looks to start new with a new challenger & Tiffany Stratton interfered. Tiff says that she agrees to the open challenge, but Bayley stopped her. Bayley said that she has some other woman in the mind, and that is Naomi. Tiff claims that she already defeated her, but Naomi came to the ring and challenged Tiff for a match.
Backstage- The Bloodline
Tama Tonga & Solo Sikoa scared Paul Heyman and then explained that, what they did to Jimmy Uso are by the orders of The Tribal Chief.
Naomi vs Tiffany Stratton
The match began during the commercial, where Naomi took the brief initial control with a bull dog and a leg drop. Tiffy fought back by sending Naomi to the apron and pushing her to the ring post. After the commercial, Naomi kicked Tiffy, hit her with a cross body, drop kicked on the corner and hit a Split Leg Drop.
Tiffy then fought back with a double stomp and went for the top rope for the Prettiest Moonsault Ever, but Naomi escapes and rolls down Tiffany for the win.
A-Town Down Under
A-Town Down Under cuts a video package promo of their SmackDown Tag Team Championship win. New Catch Republic and Street Profits in Nick Aldis room watched it on Tv. Aldis says that they will determine the challenger next week.
A #1 Contender’s Fatal 4-Way match was announced for next week involving Street Profits, New Catch Repoblic, Legado Del Fantasma & Authors of Pain.
Chelsea Green & Piper Niven vs Chelsea Green & Piper Niven
Belair and Green started the match, with Belair delivering the spine buster on Green. Chelsea went on to tag Niven in and she took Belair for a brief control with a Cannon Ball. She tried for a splash from the top rope, but ended up with no body holds. Chelsea got tagged in & so does Jade Cargill. Jade kicked her out and delivered Jaded for the win.
Kevin Owens vs AJ Styles vs Rey Mysterio
The match began with all the three fighting each other. AJ Styles was sent out and Owens slides Rey out. Styles caught Rey on his shoulders to slam him on the apron. Kevin took Styles to the corner and hit a Cannon Ball, whereas Rey took Owens down with a seated senton.
Afte the commercial, AJ Styles took control of the match with hid rapid strikes. Rey however countered Styles and Owens move and took both down with Tornado DDTs. Rey looks for a 619 on Styles, but got countered. Owens hit Rey with a Suplex from the middle rope. Styles breaks the count, but Owens hit a couple of superkick on him.
All the three again went on to counter each others move, where Kevin Owens hit Rey with a Stunner on the apron. Owens hit a senton on Styles, but he has his knees on. Styles climbed the rope, Rey tried to stop, but Styles took him with a Styles Splash from the middle rope landing on Owens. Styles pinned Rey for the win. After the match AJ Styes and LA Knight had a face off to close the show.

- LA Knight defeated Bobby Lashley & Santos Escobar to advance to the #1 Contender’s match next week.
- Tama Tonga debuts and joins The Bloodline, by kicking Jimmy Uso out.
