4. Shikhar Dhawan – 4 times
Shikhar Dhawan is one of the most consistent batters in the IPL. He has been part of the league since 2008 and has scored the second-most runs in the IPL. The Southpaw has scored close to 6800 runs with 51 half-centuries and two hundreds. He has scored 500 or more 4 times in 2012, 2016, 2019 and 2021.
4. KL Rahul – 6 Times
Since 2018, no batter has scored more runs than KL Rahul in the IPL. He is just incredible when it comes to performing in the in the tournament. He scored 500 or more runs five times, and all those came in five consecutive seasons between 2018 and 2022. He scored 659, 593, 670, 626, and 626 respectively in those five seasons. After missing out in 2023, Rahul returned back to scoring runs again in 2024 when he accumulated 500+ runs for the sixth time. Notably, KL Rahul has scored 600+ runs in an IPL season four times, which is most by any batter.
2. Virat Kohli – 7 Times
Virat Kohli is a run-machine not only in international but also in the IPL. He has been scoring runs season after season, and you will find him among the top run-scorers every season. His record of 973 runsin one season, which he achieved in 2016, might not be broken ever again. Virat has gone past 500 runs seven times in the IPL. He did it in 2011, 2013, 2015, 2016, 2018, 2023, and 2024.
1. David Warner – 7 Times
While talking about the greatest overseas batsman to play the IPL, many talk about AB de Villiers, Chris Gayle, Shane Watson, Faf du Plessis and others, but David Warner is certainly at the top of that list. The southpaw made his debut in 2009 and became a star. He is only player to win the Orange Cap three times in the IPL. He also holds the record for most runs by an overseas batsman in the IPL.. Warner has scored over 500 runs in seven different IPL seasons. He did it in six consecutive seasons from 2014 to 2020 and then once again in 2023.
