IPL 2024 auction: After leaving WI central contract, Jason Holder goes unsold

All-rounder Jason Holder was part of Rajasthan Royals in the IPL 2023.

West Indian all-rounder Jason Holder recently declined the central contract from Cricket West Indies (CWI) to shift his focus mainly to franchise-based cricket. Jason Holder has failed to get any contract in Indian Premier League. Holder was released by inaugural IPL champions Rajasthan Royals. Holder’s performance against England in the ongoing T20I series also played a part in his bidding during IPL mini-auction 2024.

West Indies all-rounder Jason Holder began his Indian Premier League career with Chennai Super Kings in IPL 2013. Holder has been a powerful player for West Indian side in international cricket as well as captain of Barbados Royals in Caribbean Premier League. Holder was expected to get a big amount in the auction but the franchises showed no interest on him.

He went on to play 46 games in IPL for 5 franchises he has represented.

Jason Holder was part of Chennai Super Kings, Rajasthan Royals Sunrisers Hyderabad, Kolkata Knight Riders, and Lucknow Super Giants. Holder has played 46 games in the league and picked up 53 wickets in IPL. In his 46 games, Holder has scored 259 runs in 27 innings.
