Telem Suranjit Singh signs two-year extension at RoundGlass Punjab
The 22-year-old made 12 I-League appearances for the club last season.
Midfielder Telem Suranjit Singh has penned a two-year extension to his contract with RoundGlass Punjab, Khel Now can confirm. This means that he will now remain with the I-League outfit till the end of the 2022-23 season.
"RoundGlass Punjab have offered a two-year contract extension to Telem Suranjit Singh, and he accepted and signed it recently. The extension comes on the backdrop of a solid 2020-21 season with the club," a source close to the developments informed Khel Now. Hailing from Manipur, Suranjit Singh was with East Bengal for two years between 2016 and 2018. During this period, he played for their youth teams. A year later, he signed his first senior professional contract with Indian Arrows, later making his I-League debut in the 2019-20 season.

After not being a part of the Arrows' squad in the first three games of the season, Suranjit came on as a substitute in their fourth league game against Churchill Brothers on December 28. He went on to score his maiden goal in the 90th minute of the match, thereby helping his team win 2-1. On February 11, 2020, he was handed his first start of the season, against NEROCA FC.
Ahead of I-League 2020-21, the 22-year-old moved to RoundGlass Punjab. He has played in 12 matches for the Punjab-based side to-date. 11 of them have been starting XI appearances. Primarily a central midfielder, Suranjit Singh has also occasionally featured as an attacking midfielder and a wide forward.
