Robert Jarni: I did not see it if it’s a penalty

The NorthEast United boss also revealed the status of Asamoah Gyan's injury in the press conference.
NorthEast United were handed their second consecutive defeat against defending champions Bengaluru FC on Wednesday night. The Highlanders failed to comeback in the game after Sunil Chhetri’s penalty gave the visitors the lead in the second half, which was followed by Albert Serran's header which sealed all three points. Head coach Robert Jarni addressed the media after the defeat at home that leaves the side sixth on the table with ten points.

Robert Jarni further went on to speak about his intentions of playing Nim Dorjee at the left back position, “Last time he was very well in the training, he worked really well and hard.”
Thoughts On Youngsters
The 51-year-old had a few words for the youngsters who featured in the side against Bengaluru, “Mawia’s been really great and working hard, we see great potential, he can be very good in the next match as well. He’s so young, has a good future, that’s why he was in the squad and we hope that he will be there in the future matches.”
“As far as Ninthoi, he’s also very good and talented player. He has great potential in the future. These two players will be very important players for Indian National Team in the future,” the tactician added.
On Asamoah Gyan's Injury
NorthEast United's star striker, Asamoah Gyan, who limped off in their game against ATK has missed all the games since. Robert Jarni was asked regarding the Ghanaian's injury when he revealed, “Gyan is coming tomorrow and I think he is feeling well, we have now rest of ten days.”

Bengaluru FC got the edge over NorthEast United on Wednesday night, courtesy of a penalty decision that many felt was unfair. Robert Jarni was asked to share his thoughts on the decision as he answered, “I can say nothing because I didn’t see very well because many people were in front of me and I did not see it if it’s a penalty or not,” he concluded.
NorthEast United will now face Kerala Blasters in their next game on December 28.
