SC East Bengal in ISL

SC East Bengal ended their ISL 2020-21 season in ninth position, led by head coach Robbie Fowler. As a result, he was replaced by Manolo Diaz ahead of the 2021-22 campaign. However, the team did not achieve the expected results.

Due to poor performances at the start of the season, the club parted company with the Spaniard and appointed assistant coach Renedy Singh as the interim coach. However, because Renedy lacks an AFC Pro License, the SCEB administration chose to employ Mario Rivera as their head coach.

Changing coaches three times had a negative influence on their results and as a consequence, they finished at the bottom of the table, with only one win in 20 games.

Club officials have already started preparing their squad for next season. They are already in advanced talks with Nabi Hussain Khan, Mahitosh Roy, Dip Saha, and Suryash Jaiswal. They have already signed a strategic partnership with Sheikh Russel Krirachakra of Bangladesh.

They’ve assembled a scouting team of former players to identify prospects from the I-League and Santosh Trophy. The club are already in talks with several ISL players and reputed coaches for the upcoming season.
