England predicted lineup for UEFA Euro 2024
The Three Lions are one of the favourites heading into the tournament
Euro 2024 is creeping ever closer and international teams across the continent are putting together their final plans for the showpiece tournament. England have often gone into tournaments with inflated expectations and confidence, but this time the hype is justified. The Three Lions should be heading to Germany with one intention only to bring the trophy home. England will compete in Group C along with Serbia, Denmark, and Slovenia.
Gareth Southgate’s side were just a couple of penalties away from ending 55 years of hurt in the last European Championship, but since that agonising final defeat to Italy at Wembley, they have only gotten stronger. Here is how the Three Lions can line up in the upcoming tournament:
England Predicted Lineup (Formation 4-2-3-1):
Goalkeeper: Jordan Pickford
Jordan Pickford have enjoyed a formidable past couple of seasons for both club and country. Jordan Pickford achieved much of his success through sound positioning, and quick but subtle adjustments of the feet to anticipate the shot.
His shot-stopping ability makes him the first-choice keeper and also he is good at 1v1 situations. He will be starting the games in the Euros without a doubt.
Right Back: Kyle Walker
Kyle Walker is renowned for his speed and strength, he is also a strong and physical defender who is comfortable in one-on-one situations and is adept at making tackles and interceptions.
Kyle is also a good as attacking full-back who is capable of making overlapping runs and delivering crosses into the box. His speed and stamina allow him to contribute in both attack and defence, and he is often seen covering large areas of the pitch in games.

Centre Back: John Stones
Stones is strong in the air when defending both set-pieces and during open play, largely because he is tall and capable of leaping towards the ball with power and momentum, often over opponents.
When he is defending one-on-one, he tracks his opponent with a high level of concentration, monitoring his off-the-ball movements, Stones is also very good with the ball and is key for the England team in building up from the back. He is a fine centre-back who will be instrumental for the England team in this upcoming tournament.
Centre Back: Marc Guehi
With Harry Maguire ruled out of the tournament. Marc Guehi looks like a decent option to replace the Man United star in the heart of the England defense.
He is comfortable in and out of possession, defending is in Guehi’s genes, he is physically very strong and is capable enough to win a lot of duels. Marc Guehi’s style of play can be characterised by his work in both the defensive phases and the build-up stage. His presence at the back for the Three Lions will be crucial for their defensive stability.
Left Back: Kieran Trippier
Trippier isn’t a full-back that looks to run with the ball. However, his strength lies in scanning the pitch and progressing the ball with his passing range. His passing ability improves England’s ability to launch counterattacks quickly. He is also very good in delivering dangerous crosses inside the box also capable of taking setpieces as well.
Center Midfield: Kobbie Mainoo
Mainoo is fantastic at drawing and evading pressure, and his decision-making for releasing the ball at the right time is excellent. He is also very good at controlling the tempo and seems to have an instinct for either speeding up or slowing down the play. He also has incredibly close control. Mainoo is fairly productive at getting the ball into the final third. He will play a key role in England’s midfield for sure.

His partnership with Mainoo will boost England’s confidence for sure.
Right Winger: Bukayo Saka
With exceptional close control, he can play a direct game against opponents, running at them with the ball. His quick feet make the challenge of stopping him even more daunting. Saka is also quick and can vary his play between dribbling infield or beating his defender on the outside.
The variety he has in his game makes it extremely difficult for defenders to stifle him. His ability to recognize space and attack it makes him special.
Center Attacking Midfielder: Jude Bellingham
The former Borussia Dortmund and Birmingham youngster has been Los Blancos’ one of the best performers of this season, with his game evolving from being a box-to-box midfielder to a goalscoring machine.
Bellingham is not only one of the best players in his team but one of the best in the world. After winning LaLiga and Champions League with Real Madrid he will be hungry to win the Euro as well.
Left Winger: Phil Foden
Foden possesses a wide range of technical skills that set him apart from his peers. His ball control and dribbling abilities are nothing short of mesmerising, allowing him to weave past defenders with ease. His passing range and vision enable him to unlock defences and create scoring opportunities for his teammates. In addition, Foden has shown exceptional finishing capabilities, making him a potent goal-scoring threat. Foden’s ball control and dribbling skills are a sight to behold.
His ability to manipulate the ball with precision and close control enables him to navigate through tight spaces and evade opponents. Whether it’s gliding past defenders or executing intricate dribbles, Foden’s skill on the ball is a joy to watch. His confidence and flair make him a constant threat to opposing defences.
Center Forward: Harry Kane
The England international got the job done for Bayern Munich in several different ways this season. He is usually lurking around the back-post area, waiting to pounce on flick-ons or long, arching deliveries.
He scores goals of all types, is brilliant at holding the ball up, works tirelessly, creates for others, makes significant and crucial defensive contributions, and is a leader both on and off the pitch. He is also one of the favourites to win the Golden Boot as well in the Euro.
