Manager Stephen Constantine has called up two young strikers to groom the Indian future in the right way.
Midfielder Pronay Halder and winger Bikash Jairu made a comeback to the National squad as National Coach Stephen Constantine announced his list of 28 probables' for the Preparatory Camp for the AFC Asian Cup Qualifying match against Myanmar slated to be played in Goa on November 14.
India have already qualified for the AFC Asian Cup UAE 2019 and sit pretty on 12 points by virtue of winning all their four matches so far. The last time the two teams met in Yangon, India won by a solitary goal margin, a gem of a goal scored by Captain Sunil Chhetri.
Constantine said: “We may have already qualified for the Asian Cup but that doesn’t mean we will take this game lightly. It’s time to work hard again and am looking forward to working with the boys.”
It has to be noted that Goa is hosting a National team encounter after four years. India must look to win their last two AFC Asian Cup qualifiers to ensure a better pot in the draw of the AFC Asian Cup to be held in April 2018.
The National team has won all four of their AFC Asian Cup qualifiers, ensuring their participation in the continental event.
