The 37-year-old, Novak Djokovic, has a positive record against all current top-25 ranked ATP players.

Twenty-four-time Grand Slam champion Novak Djokovic ‘completed tennis’, after adding the Olympic Gold to his already illustrious cabinet. The Serbian is already the most successful tennis player in terms of Grand Slams and titles won.

His greatness is highlighted by his superior record against two of tennis’ biggest stalwarts—Rafael Nadal and Roger Federer. The 37-year-old leads Nadal 31-29 in their head-to-head and holds a 27-23 edge over Federer. His dominance over the Swiss maestro was particularly striking, winning six of their last seven encounters.

Despite being at the fag end of his career, with age and fitness challenges mounting, the Serbian continues to dominate the sport. He reached the semi-finals of the recently concluded Australian Open 2025, crushing Carlos Alcaraz in a spectacular quarter-final clash.

Djokovic’s dominance is evident as he holds a positive record against every top-25 ATP player. Current top ranked Jannik Sinner, is one of those rare players who has a 4-4 win-loss record against Djokovic, with the Italian emerging victorious in their most recent contest at the Shanghai Masters.

Second ranked Alexander Zverev, who played the finals of the Australian Open this season trails 5-8 against the former World Number One.

Young sensation, Carlos Alcaraz has found it tough against Djokovic, trailing 3-5. The Spaniard though has triumphed at two Wimbledon championship finals over the Serb, but lost crucial games like the Roland Garros semi-final, Olympic final and Australian Open QF. Taylor Fritz, ranked fourth, is yet to beat Djokovic, as the 37-year-old boasts a stunning 10-0 record over the American.

Apart from Felix Auger-Aliassime, who has split his two encounters with Djokovic (1-1), the 37-year-old enjoys a favourable head-to-head record against all other top ranked players.

The 10-time Australian Open winner made it clear, that his desire to compete and win more titles remains alive. Having achieved nearly everything the sport can offer, the only aspect the Serbian would wish for, is a 25th Grand Slam title and a 100th career title (presently at 99).

Djokovic’s consistency and longevity are truly inspirational, and the Australian Open director’s recent call for a statue to honor the Serb’s achievements speaks volumes about his greatness. The muscle tear which ruled him out of the Open Down-Under, is expected to keep Djokovic on the sidelines for another two months, as reported by ESPN’s Chris Fowler.

The 37-year-old could now potentially play directly at the French Open, which might not necessarily be the worst thing for the World Number Six. With plenty of time to regroup, reassess and comeback, Djokovic would like his chances of making the 2025 edition of the Roland Garros count, with a fourth French Open title on the cards.
