Strong and powerful moves are very important for a professional wrestler because it makes the wrestler look more powerful and destructive, especially their signature moves and their finishers. However, a weak and poor finisher could absolutely spoil the spotlight. Here we rank the top 10 worst finishers that the WWE Superstars used.

10. Brain Chop

Brain Chop is one of the worst finishing moves in WWE. The Great Khali used the chop as his finishing move to win his opponents, where he hit his opponent on the top of the head. WWE tried to promote this move as one of the powerful moves during the initial run of Khali. Where former world champions and veterans sold this move to make it look so powerful. But the move is worse than a headbutt.

9. Rough Ryder

Zack Ryder used Rough Ryder as his finishing moves to finish his opponents. This move is quite similar to Rey Mysterio's "Seated Senton" which he uses as a normal move. However the Rough Ryder is weaker than that as it didn't give a feel of a finisher.

8. The Worm

The Worm is one of the worst finishers of all time, as it didn't even fit into a wrestling move. Scotty 2 Hotty used "The Worm" as his finishing move, where he laid the opponent on the floor, jumps with one leg to the opposite side of the ring, performs a worm-like move near to his opponent and slaps his opponent on the face.

7. Rear View

Former SmackDown Women's Champion Naomi used Rear view as her finishing move to finish his opponents, where he hit his opponent with the butt to the face for the win. Although it seems to be a worse finisher, Naomi had won the championship with this move.

6. Running Splash

The Ultimate Warrior used Running Splash as his finishing move. Although Splash is quite a good move to finish off opponents. The running splash that the Warrior delivers doesn't usually hit the opponent's body first. He landed on the floor and just went for the cover. However, this move in the 80's made the wrestling fans go crazy as he won the WWF Championships with the move.

5. Playmaker

MVP used playmaker as his finishing move, where he surrounds his leg on the back of the neck of his opponent, grabbing one hand and twisting it to the floor, landing the opponent back first without making any pain to the opponent. The move is so weak that a simple body split can make the opponent escape. However MVP used the move to win the United States Championship in the past.

4. Rose Plant

When Bayley turned heel in 2020, she dropped the Bayley-2-Belly and adopted Rose Plant as her finishing move. Where she grabs one hand between her legs and hits the face of the opponent to the ground. It was not a proper move as Bayley usually complicated moves with weak finishes. Although being a worst move, Bayley won the SmackDown Women's Championship and WWE Women's Tag Team Championship with the move.

3. Lightning Fist

John Cena while returning to the company as a part-timer in 2018, found that AA is kind of a weak maneuver and looked to upgrade his move. Instead of the five moves of doom, he used Lightning Fist as the sixth move of Doom which made it even weaker. It's just a regular punch to the cheeks, fans start booing this move right away in the live crowd. After increasing boo's Cena dropped the move.

2. Cobra

Cobra is one of the funniest wrestling moves in all of sports entertainment. Santino Marella used Cobra as his finisher, where he wears a sock on his hands, makes the hand like a snake and hits his opponent's face. Despite being so dramatic and funnier, Marella used the finisher to win the WWE Tag Team Championships.

1. Atomic Leg Drop

Atomic Leg Drop is the worst wrestling finisher in WWE, but was used by the greatest wrestler of all time, Hulk Hogan. The Immortal lays his opponent on the ground and runs to the ropes and hits his opponent with a running leg drop. Although the finisher is weak, Hogan used it to win six world championships using the move and this made him gain huge fame and success.
