Former WWE champion reveals his current contract status

Kevin Owens is an Canadian Professional Wrestler, who has been signed to WWE since 2014. Owens has been one of the charismatic wrestlers, who has been showcasing some of the great matches and segments throughout his run. Owens is a nine-time champion in WWE and is the 16th Grand Slam Champion of the company. Owens excelled both as a babyface and as a heel in his run and attained great success.
Owens is currently on the SmackDown roster and having a great time teaming up with Randy Orton & feuding against The Bloodline. Kevin Owens recently teamed up with Randy Orton and faced The Bloodline at WWE Backlash 2024 in France and unfortunately lost the match by the interference of the new Bloodline member, Tanga Loa. Owens has now addressed his WWE contract status saying that he doesn’t have much time left with the company.

Kevin Owens recently appeared for an interview on Metro, where he addressed his current WWE contract status. Owens said that he has nine months left with his current contract & was not sure about his future.
Kevin Owens said,
“I really don’t take anything for granted, I’ve nine months left on my contract, and I don’t know what can happen from here on out. That’s just life. If I’ve learned anything over the last few years, it’s that nothing is guaranteed. I’ve learned that through some very unfortunate events, we’ve lost so many good people that was never expected. That’s just one example of how I do not take anything for granted, how I look at things now.”
Owens continued saying that he has been in the company for 10 years and has great bond beyond the locker room and can’t imagine a life without them.
Owens said,
“This has been my home for 10 years and it’s beyond the locker room. There’s some very, very, very special people that work behind the scenes that I’ve become very close with, and I really can’t imagine not seeing them as part of my life.”
Owens last signed a multi-year contract with WWE in 2021, after Vince McMahon’s request of how he is a good fit for the company. Based on his words it is clear that Owens’ current contract will be ending by early next year.
