Survivor Series: WarGames is the final PLE of 2024
WWE is gearing up to host its last PLE of the year, Survivor Series 2024 which is scheduled to take place on November 30 at the Rogers Arena in Vancouver, Canada. The 38th edition of Survivor Series will be the third WarGames-themed event in the company’s history.
The 38th edition of the event includes two title fights and two WarGames matches in both the men’s and women’s divisions.
The 2024 edition of Survivor Series: WarGames is only days away, and the promotion is prepared to deliver the last premium live event of the year. Ahead of the PLE let us take a look at three stars who must pick up a win in their respective matches.
3. Gunther
‘The Ring General’ Gunther is scheduled to defend his World Heavyweight Championship against Damian Priest in a rematch at Survivor Series PLE.
This clash at the PLE is a rematch from their first encounter at SummerSlam 2024 where the Ring General emerged victorious. Priest lost his World Heavyweight title due to a betrayal by his Judgment Day member Finn Balor.
However, the Ring General needs to win the rematch to assert his dominance and gain back his confidence. Since his loss against Cody Rhodes for the inaugural Crown Jewel title at Crown Jewel 2024 PLE, the Heavyweight Champion has been self-doubting himself.
The conflict between the two before their clash has become more personal as both stars are engaged in mind games and sneak attacks. However, the challenger has improved in these situations, emerging victorious in both encounters and brutally defeating the champion.
In their last encounter, Priest power bombed the champion through the announcer’s desk and raised the Heavyweight title. Gunther needs a win now more than ever not just to get back into the win column but to assert his dominance which has faded after the recent loss at the Saudi PLE.

2. LA Knight
The United States Champion LA Knight is set to defend his title against Shinsuke Nakamura at the Vancouver PLE this Saturday.
During the 11/25 episode of the Red brand, the promotion also announced a match between LA Knight and Shinsuke Nakamura with the US title on the line at the upcoming PLE in Vancouver.
Nakamura made his return earlier this month and attacked LA Knight in his return, the Japanese star attacked the US champion again on last week’s episode of the Blue brand.
In a pre-recorded promo aired during Knight’s match against Santos Escobar last week, Nakamura confidently declared that he had extensively studied the champion, gaining a deeper understanding of him than Knight has of himself.
The Japanese star has terrorized Knight and is now aiming for his US title at the Vancouver PLE. The Champion needs to win this match as he is still one of the biggest faces in the promotion.
Knight also needs this win to teach Nakamura a lesson, who has been terrorizing the champion since his return. A win for the champion would also make this storyline intriguing moving further.

1. Roman Reigns
‘The OTC’ Roman Reigns along with his OG faction is set to take on the rogue Bloodline led by Solo Sikoa. The rogue faction led by Solo Sikoa consists of Jacob Fatu, Tama Tonga, Bronson Reed, and Tonga Loa.
While the OG faction consists of Jey Uso, Sami Zayn, Jimmy Uso, and CM Punk. The Second City Saint recently joined the OG faction in his return alongside Paul Heyman.
Reigns has been struggling in recent times since his brutal Undisputed WWE Championship loss at the hand of Cody Rhodes at WrestleMania 40.
Reigns and The Usos suffered a vicious beating at the hands of Solo Sikoa, Jacob Fatu, and Tama Tonga at the Crown Jewel 2024 PLE. Sikoa landed three Samoan spikes on Reigns to win the Bloodline clash at the PLE.

The OTC needs a win badly not just for him but for the recently united OG Bloodline. Reigns is also the face of the company and a win would further elevate his stardom.
A win would not only provide momentum but also create a compelling narrative, as the back-and-forth rivalry between the two factions would become increasingly intense with each side having claimed a victory over the other.
