The Lucha Brothers are one of the best tag teams in the pro-wrestling industry!
The Lucha Brothers Penta El Zero Miedo (Pentagón Jr.) & Rey Fenix are Mexican professional wrestlers who have been in the industry for almost two decades. The Luchador masked real-life brothers have a great legacy in the Mexican promotions such as Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide, Lucha Underground, CMLL, and some of the big promotions such as Impact Wrestling, AEW, ROH and more.
They had a four-year-long tenure in AEW from 2019 and were the former AEW World Tag Team & AEW World Trios Champions. Earlier this year, it was rumored that Penta El Zero Miedo & his brother Rey Fenix are all set to sign with WWE, however they put an end to the rumors. However, the recent report confirms their WWE signings.
The Lucha Bros have signed a WWE contract
Cory Hayes of PWN reported that The Lucha Brothers Penta El Zero Miedo (Pentagon Jr.) & Rey Fenix have signed a multi-year deal with WWE. The reports reveal that they will be headed to the main roster straight in either Raw or SmackDown, by skipping the NXT stints, which almost every superstar follows upon WWE signings.
Following that WrestleVotes Radio revealed that the deal is complete. It is also reported that the company has begun working with their merchandise production for masks, T-shirts and other promotional materials.
Earlier this year Pentagon filed trademarks for the names ‘Cero Miedo’, ‘Zero Miedo’ & ‘AN1MO’ for entertainment purposes. Following that, Rey Fenix filed trademarks for ‘Rey Fuego’, ‘King Fuego’ and ‘Fuego’. It is believed that one of the trademarked names could be their in-ring names for their tenure in WWE.
With this, The Lucha Bros will be the fourth to move from AEW to WWE main roster including Cody Rhodes, CM Punk and Jade Cargill. They are also the first ever tag team duo to jump the ship from the Jacksonville based company to the Stamford based company.
As they are announced for the main roster, where will they make their WWE debut? Raw or SmackDown? It would be interesting to see the incredible Luchador brothers compete in WWE, where they could have a number of tag team rivalries.
