West Indies will begin their ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2024 campaign on October 4 against South Africa.
The West Indies women’s team have clinched the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup title once, in 2016. The Women in Maroon are the only team to defeat Australia in the Women’s T20 World Cup final till now.
So far, the West Indies women’s team have played 34 matches in the Women’s T20 World Cup. They emerged victorious on 20 occasions while suffering defeat in 14 matches.
In the last edition, the West Indies were eliminated from the group stage. For this year’s Women’s T20 World Cup, West Indies have announced an experienced squad that will be led by Hayley Matthews and Stafanie Taylor is back from an injury.

The 2016 champions will begin their campaign against South Africa on October 4. Their next group stage match is against Scotland on October 5. On October 10, they will face Bangladesh, and their last group stage fixture is against England on October 15.

The West Indies women’s team will play their first, second and last group stage matches at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium in Dubai. The 2016 champions will play their second group round fixture at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium in Sharjah.
