Jamshedpur FC host grand finale of India's longest baby league

The baby league comprised of five categories in total.
Jamshedpur FC proudly hosted the grand finale of the nation’s longest baby league, the Jamshedpur Golden Baby League, on January 7, 2024, at the TFA ground. The event kicked off at 2:00 PM, marking the culmination of a remarkable 10-month-long journey that began on February 26, 2023.
The Jamshedpur Golden Baby League witnessed an extraordinary participation of 106 teams, comprising 971 young football enthusiasts. The league served as a platform for budding talents to showcase their skills and passion for the beautiful game. In the league, footballers played a total of 11,928 minutes and scored 1,525 goals.
Five esteemed Jamshedpur FC Grassroots Football Schools – Loyola School, Carmel Junior College, JPS School, HillTop School, and DAV Bistupur School – actively participated, contributing significantly to the success of the league.
Trophies were presented by esteemed guests, including Chief Guest Mr. Chanakya Chaudhari (Chairman of Jamshedpur FC), Guest of Honour Khalid Jamil, CEO of Jamshedpur FC Mukul Chaudhari, Head Coach Jamshedpur FC Reserves Steven Dias, and Jamshedpur FC Players Rei Tachikawa, Ricky Lallawmawma, and Pronay Halder.
The success of the Jamshedpur Golden Baby League was made possible with the dedicated support of:
- Volunteers: 15
- Referees: 10 from the local football community, 5 from TFA
- Ball Boys: 5 from the local football community
- Coaches: 60 (35 from Grassroots Football School)
- Groundsmen: 6
The Jamshedpur Golden Baby League has not only nurtured young talent but also showcased the commitment of the community towards the development of football at the grassroots level. Jamshedpur FC looks forward to building on this success and continuing to foster a vibrant football culture in the region.
