Leverkusen have Champions League to offer from next season
Xabi Alonso has made direct requests to sign his former teammate Cristiano Ronaldo next season as Leverkusen will play in the UEFA Champions League, reports suggest.
For their return to the Champions League, the Bundesliga champions and most exciting team in Europe should make a stunning acquisition, and Cristiano Ronaldo is still a very significant addition.
Xabi Alonso has expressed his desire for CR7 to join Bayer Leverkusen for the upcoming season since he is now organising the upcoming âAspirinasâ season.
As per the data gathered by Sport, the Spanish coach, aware of the formidable task ahead of him, specifically requested Cristianoâs signing. This is because he wants to maintain his current level of play after his stunning 51-game unbeaten streak on the âold continentâ.
The German team will start from scratch the following season, and Die Werkself will no longer be able to boast an undefeated season.
As a result, the coach plans to bolster the clubâs football (and emotional) roster by bringing in one of the greatest players of all time, who has been performing in Saudi Arabia for a year and a half.
At this stage of his career, signing with Leverkusen would be a wise move for CR7 since it would allow him to return to Europe and join a stylish club, ready to play a new role in a growing project. The Portuguese playerâs contract expires in June 2025, thus it will be a bit difficult to lure him away from the Al-Nassr club. That has to be the main issue plus Ronaldo pockets a massive paycheck weekly.
At this stage of his career, Ronaldo is worth 15 million euros, which should be within reach for the new German champions.

All season long, Leverkusen have performed quite well, although they have frequently scored goals in the dying minutes.
Die Werkself have scored 17 goals this season in the 90th minute or later, demonstrating their tremendous fitness and never-say-die mentality. But perhaps Alonsoâs astute tactical choice had some influence.
Ronaldo continues his goalscoring form
Ronaldo still has a chance to hit the half-century mark this season as he has 48 goals. There is one remaining Saudi Pro League game, against Al-Ittihad on Monday. Later Al-Nassr are ready to play their bitter rivals Al-Hilal in the King Cup of Champions final. Ronaldo will be looking to win this major silverware without worrying about what the future holds.
