How did Sheamus help Edge’s WWE return?

Edge was set to show up on the August 18th episode of SmackDown to celebrate his 25th Anniversary of his wrestling career. However he shocked the WWE Universe by returning a week before on the latest episode of SmackDown. Where Edge and Sheamus agreed to have a match next week and expressed how their relationship had helped their wrestling career. Edge went on stating how Sheamus helped him for his WWE return. Here is a detailed view on what Edge and Sheamus talked about each other.

Edge on Sheamus

Edge returned to SmackDown this week at Calgary, Alberta and addressed the crowd. He expressed his wish to have a match against a veteran who he never faced one-on-one before, which is Sheamus.

Edge says that he has a lot of history together with Sheamus, that most of us did not know. In fact Sheamus was the reason for Edge standing in the ring. He is the one who lit the fire inside him and he might do it again.

Sheamus has a Youtube channel, ‘Celtic Warrior Workouts’, in which he invited Edge for a workout collaboration. Edge took Sheamus on a mountain bike ride where Sheamus asked Edge if he can do this, why can’t he wrestle. Which made a spark in his mind and motivated him. After which Sheamus stayed in Edge’s house to become an extended family member and helped Edge to prepare for his 2020 Royal Rumble return.

Sheamus shares some video clips of Edge, who fell on the mountain ride and hurt his body. Sheamus exposed some of his body parts, which obsessed Edge. However, Sheamus recalls that Edge has shown more than that on Tv. Edge shared a picture of Sheamus sitting on Edge’s daughter’s bicycle. After which Sheamus spoke about how Edge helped him to become a wrestler.

Sheamus said, back in 2004 he was in  confusion of whether to continue wrestling or move on with an IT job. When WWE toured Ireland and Edge being a part of the tour met Sheamus and gave him the most valuable advice of his career, which made him a successful wrestler.

Edge then asked for a one-on-one match between them next week, where Sheamus accepted the challenge.
