A couple of big stars have been out of action for the last couple of months

WWE Superstars try to entertain fans all over the world and sometimes face a lot of problems, one of them is of injury.

WWE wrestlers have to get through injuries then or now in order to entertain everyone, while some of them get their career peak after that, others face bad luck and say that they can’t come back to the ring. Here is a list of all superstars who are injured as of April 2024 and are not performing in the ring.

Seth Rollins

Seth Rollins, the unsung hero of WrestleMania XL, is currently on the sidelines due to a surgery for a torn meniscus, an injury he’s bravely endured since January. While initial estimates suggest he might be out for up to eight months, a more optimistic timeline of two-to-three months is probable. Rollins’ resilience and pivotal role in WWE’s biggest event deserve recognition, showcasing his commitment even in the face of injury setbacks.

CM Punk

CM Punk’s anticipated WWE comeback hit a snag with a torn triceps, sidelining him and altering WrestleMania plans. Punk revealed he was slated to headline the event before the injury. Speaking with UFC on TNT Sports, he attributed the setback to being a “clumsy idiot” and joked about his “jealous” right triceps, recalling a similar injury to his left triceps during his time with All Elite Wrestling in 2022.

Despite the setback, Punk remains optimistic, viewing it as an occupational hazard and expressing confidence in his return.

Big E

In March 2022, The New Day clashed with Sheamus and Ridge Holland. During a match on SmackDown, Holland’s suplex left Big E landing on his head, resulting in a broken neck with fractures in his C1 and C6 vertebrae.

Thankfully, there was no spinal cord damage, eliminating the need for surgery. While reuniting with his team on May 20, uncertainty clouds Big E’s wrestling future, though he continues contributing as a host and panelist on WWE programming post-recovery.

Sonya Deville

Sonya Deville, former WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion, faced a setback with a torn ACL during a match against Bianca Belair and Charlotte Flair on July 28. Surgery followed on August 1, putting her out of action “for an extended period.”

Expressing frustration at the timing, she humorously (yet seriously) mentions the “curse” on WWE women’s tag team belts. Despite the setback, Deville remains optimistic, thanking fans for their support and pledging a swift return to the ring.

Braun Strowman

On Raw, Braun Strowman faced a critical setback with neck fusion surgery in June 2023. The recovery timeline remains ambiguous, casting doubt on his return to the ring. The procedure marks a significant hurdle for the powerhouse wrestler, raising concerns about his future in the squared circle. Despite the uncertainty, Strowman’s fans eagerly await updates on his progress and hope for a successful recovery.

Strowman did make his return on 4/29 Raw but is yet to make his in ring return.

Charlotte Flair

Charlotte Flair sustained a significant injury in December, involving tears to her ACL, MCL, and meniscus. These injuries likely occurred during her wrestling matches or training sessions, leading her to undergo surgery. Since then, Flair has been focused on intensive rehabilitation to recover from these injuries and regain her strength and mobility.

Her absence from wrestling events underscores the serious nature of her injuries and the importance of prioritizing her health and recovery.

Erick

Erik’s final wrestling bout was on WWE Main Event’s September 14th episode. He missed a subsequent RAW appearance due to injury, later revealed as a need for C6/C7 neck fusion surgery. Currently, he’s in recovery mode. To support his rehabilitation, Erik sought stem cell therapy at Austin’s Ways2Well clinic alongside his partner, Valhalla.

Rhea Ripley

Reports suggest that following her WrestleMania victory, the former Women’s World Champion, Rhea Ripley, endured severe assault, allegedly by Liv Morgan, resulting in a significant injury to her right shoulder.

Consequently, Ripley has been compelled to relinquish her title due to the injury, which is anticipated to necessitate a recovery period of 4-6 weeks. Meanwhile, fans on X platform have shared the precise video footage depicting the moment Ripley sustained the shoulder injury.

Dominik Mysterio

During the April 15 episode of Raw, 27-year-old wrestler ‘Dirty’ Dom suffered an elbow injury in his match against Andrade. Described as a “freak accident,” the injury raised concerns initially that Dom might require Tommy John surgery, a procedure commonly associated with baseball pitchers.

However, subsequent updates from Wrestling Observer Radio, as reported by Dave Meltzer, revealed that Dom opted against surgery and is undergoing physical therapy instead. This decision indicates a shift away from the initially anticipated lengthy recovery associated with Tommy John surgery.

While these wrestlers are out of action because of injuries, Carmella and Alexa Bliss were out of action because of pregnancy, nevertheless, we pray for these superstars a speedy recovery so that they can be in action again soon.
