The IPL has given many superstars to the game, and this season is also not new; there have been some new faces that have impressed everyone in the ongoing IPL 2024 as well.

5. Gerald Coetzee

Gerald Coetzee made his name when he performed brilliantly in the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 in India. As a result, he went for big bucks at the IPL 2024 auction, and MI signed the South African pacer for INR 5 crores. And he didn’t disappoint and performed well for his team. He is the second-highest wicket-taker for MI after Jasprit Bumrah. Coetzee has taken 13 wickets in ten games, with best bowling figures of 4/34.

4. Ashutosh Sharma

Ashutosh Sharma made a name for himself after a brilliant cameo down the order for Punjab Kings. The 24-year-old was signed by the franchise for INR 20 lakhs and also helped PBKS win a few matches. He came into the IPL 2024 with the reputation of a hard-hitting batter and did exactly the same. He has scored 162 runs in six innings at an average of 32.40 and a strike rate of 172.34 with 13 sixes. Ashutosh will be a hot buy at the 2025 auction.

3. Will Jacks

Will Jacks is another overseas star who impressed everyone with his power hitting. The English all-rounder is part of Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) in the IPL 2024. He missed a few matches in the first half but got a chance after Glenn Maxwell’s poor form, and he grabbed the opportunity with both hands. Jacks made a blistering fifty against KKR and then smashed a 41-ball ton against Gujarat Titans to showcase his power hitting. Jacks has caught the attention of the world, and he is also in England’s squad for the upcoming ICC T20 World Cup 2024.

2. Nitish Kumar Reddy

Not many knew who Nitish Kumar Reddy was before the IPL 2024. He was signed by Sunrisers Hyderabad for a price of INR 20 lakhs. But the uncapped Indian star has made a name for himself as a potential seam-bowling all-rounder for India. He has been superb for SRH this season and has won them a few games with his performances. Nitish has scored 239 runs at an average and strike rate of 57.80 and 152.22, respectively. With the ball, he has taken three wickets in 9.1 overs. Adding to that, he is also a brilliant fielder and can be the next Hardik Pandya for India.

1. Jake Fraser-McGurk 

Delhi Capitals were down and out in the first half of the IPL 2024. But since they put Jake Fraser-McGurk at the top, things started to change. It is because of the fearless approach he has brought to the team. Jake Fraser McGurk is certainly the next T20 superstar for Australia. The 22-year-old has hit four half-centuries in just seven innings. Three have come in less than 20 balls. He has scored 309 runs off just 131 balls at an incredible strike rate of 235.87, with 30 fours and 26 sixes. McGurk is certainly the player to watch.
