Kerala Blasters in talks with Jamshedpur FC star Sergio Cidoncha
The former LaLiga player was in super form for the Men of Steel last season contributing in six goals overall.
Kerala Blasters’ business in the transfer market continues to expand as they recently turned their attention towards Jamshedpur stalwart Sergio Cidoncha in order to bolster their attacking options.
Having already signed Cido’s former teammate Mario Arques and Goa’s Santosh Trophy captain Jessel Carneiro, the club is believed to be keeping close tabs on the Spaniard who impressed many during the last season.
Plying his trade previously at several European top Flight clubs like Real Zaragoza, Atletico Madrid and others like Albacete and Ponferradina within the ranks of Spanish football, Cido comes with vast experience. Even as he signed for Jamshedpur last summer, the 28-year-old was involved in six goals in 12 appearances which indicates his crucial contribution in the club’s journey towards qualifying for the playoffs.

Playing alongside the likes of Sahal Abdul Samad and Matej Poplatnik, the midfielder could form one of the deadliest attacks in the Indian Super League (ISL).
The Blasters, who have been one of the most active clubs in the transfer market, have already set sights on comeback in the league after going through a pretty disappointing season which saw them finish at a lowly ninth position. Seeking redemption for the same, the two-time runners-up in the ISL appointed Eelco Schattorie as their new head coach and are doing their everything to make sure that the Dutchman has a strong squad to play with next season.
