The 25-year-old conveyed his thankfulness to the fans and management of the club.

Redeem Tlang has put out an affectionate message for NorthEast United FC fans as he leaves the Highlanders to join FC Goa, according to reports. The 25-year-old winger was a vital part of NorthEast’s squad in the last couple of seasons but he has decided to commence a new chapter in his career with the Gaurs now.

In a social media post aimed at his former franchise’s fans, Tlang remarked, “It has been a wonderful two years with the #NEUFC family. I will be ever grateful to my coaches, teammates and non-coaching staff for the happy memories. I was able to learn a lot during the past two years with the Highlanders.”

Tlang observed that representing NEUFC in the semi-finals of the 2018-19 Indian Super League season would be the best memory of the numerous ones that he collected in his two-year stint with the team. He expressed his gratitude to the management and the Highlander Brigade for backing him and the team in the past couple of campaigns.

“As the journey goes on, it's time to bid farewell to the NEUFC family. But wherever I go and whatever lies ahead for me, I will always be from the Northeast! Thank you once again and wishing you all the best,” Redeem Tlang concluded.

The promising winger would be turning up for FC Goa from the upcoming season of the ISL. With Juan Ferrando at the helm, the team might be seeing a substantial number of players joining them in the coming months. The Gaurs have regularly possessed some of the most incredible domestic talents like Brandon Fernandes and Jackichand Singh. Tlang’s transfer to Goa suggests that this pattern would be sustained in the future too.

Redeem Tlang initiated his professional career from Shillong Lajong FC before permanently moving to NorthEast United FC before the 2018-19 season. He scored four goals in 35 matches for the Highlanders from 2018-2020 and it will highly benefit him if he could improve his efficiency in front of the goal for FC Goa.
