FC Bardez Goa meet Santa Cruz Club of Cavelossim in GPL clash

The Bardez outfit are looking for consistency in their first season in the top flight…
FC Bardez Goa will face Santa Cruz Club of Cavelossim in their fifth match of the Goa Professional League at Duler Stadium tomorrow. SCCC are in the 3rd position with 10 points having played 5 matches already. They have won 3 games, drawn one and lost one. The previous match saw Cavelossim beat Clube Sao Minguel De Taleigao 4-2. They will be looking to keep the winning momentum going, If they beat FC Bardez in the upcoming game they will go top of the table. FC Bardez have had a shaky start to the season as they have won two games while drawing and losing one each. The Bardez side beat Dempo in their previous game in the dying embers of the math and will be looking to beat Cavelossim and go up to 10 points tying with the other two sides. Probable FC Bardez starting XI- Bilal, Rowilson, Mathew, Jessel , Lenstan, Alesh, Richard, Peter, Girish, Myron , Latesh. Cavelossim forward Melwin Fernandes will be one player to watch out for as he is the highest scorer in the GPL with 5 goals so far and he will be looking to increase his tally against the Bardez club. In the lead up to the game Bardez right winger Girish Naik said,” Cavelossim is a good team and we know it will be a tough game. We are prepared for it both physically and mentally. We will play the way our coach has guided us to play in a more attacking style.
