Seth Rollins recently made his WWE return on the 5/17 episode of Raw
Seth Rollins is one of the top WWE stars of the modern era, who has been involved in some of the big moments of the company. Rollins has been part of some of the high-profile storylines, matches, shows and monumental title reigns.
Rollins played a major role in this year’s WrestleMania 40 feuding with The Rock & Roman Reigns of The Bloodline, defending his World Heavyweight Championship on the line against Drew McIntyre and also involved in the Night 2 main event.
Seth Rollins was not seen then, however, Becky Lynch in the fallout of WrestleMania revealed that Rollins tore his meniscus before Mania, however worked throughout the big events. She also said that Rollins went through knee surgery and is in rehabilitation.
Seth Rollins’ status for Money in the Bank
After over two months of hiatus, Seth Rollins made an unannounced return to open this week’s Raw. The Visionary addressed the WWE Universe that he missed them and welcomed everyone to ‘Monday Night Rollins’. Rollins said that he is back for one reason which is to be the greatest, best of all time. He said that he couldn’t do it without the title he created, which is the World Heavyweight Championship. He said that he is ready to climb the ladder to win the MITB briefcase and go win his World Heavyweight Championship.
But suddenly, Damian Priest interrupts Rollins and both start sharing similarities about them. When Rollins questions what kind of champion he is, Priest indirectly mentions that he is brave enough by offering Rollins a title shot. Rollins thought that was a play to get attacked by Judgment Day, but Priest said that it was one-on-one and Rollins accepted the challenge.
Later the same night, WWE Raw General Manager Adam Pearce made the match official for Money in the Bank.
Based on the tease and official announcements being made, Rollins seems like he is fully recovered from his injury, as Pearce is not the type of manager who allows injured wrestlers to compete.
It is important to note that Damian Priest was also teased of a leg injury during his match with Drew McIntyre at Clash at the Castle and has been limping throughout the match since then. Priest also confirms that he is not injured and is ready to compete right away.
