Bayley couldn’t overcome Nia Jax’s power

At WWE Bad Blood 2024, the WWE Women’s Championship was on the line as reigning champion Nia Jax defended her title against Bayley in a hard-hitting, dramatic encounter.

The WWE bout started with Jax asserting her dominance, using her overwhelming power to freight-train Bayley, tossing her into the corner and hitting a massive lariat.

Jax followed with a grinding reverse chin lock and a bear hug, methodically wearing Bayley down. Bayley tried to reverse the tide with a sunset flip, but Jax quickly caught her in a half crab, wrenching it hard.

Bayley fought back resiliently, countering Jax’s powerbomb attempt into a Frankensteiner. A Samoan Drop by Jax seemed like the end, but Bayley somehow kicked out.

As the fight raged on, Bayley reversed a hip attack in the corner and landed a running knee, followed by a sunset flip powerbomb into the corner. Jax, however, continued to overpower her, catching her breath outside the ring after Bayley missed a diving elbow.

Jax soon regained control outside the ring, blasting Bayley in the midsection and powerbombing her into the steel steps before tossing her into the barricade. Back in the ring, Jax hit a Samoan Drop, only for Bayley to kick out at two. The action intensified as Bayley delivered a Samoan Drop of her own, but in the chaos, Jax accidentally knocked referee Jessika Carr down, leaving the official momentarily stunned.

As Bayley began to build momentum with a big stunner and her signature Roseplant, there was no referee to count the pinfall. Enter Tiffany Stratton, who ran down to the ring with her Money in the Bank briefcase and attacked Bayley with it several times. Stratton’s interference gave Nia time to recover as Carr came to her senses.

Bayley nearly pulled off the victory with a near fall, but Stratton’s distraction allowed Jax to capitalize. Bayley, attempting to regain control, was met by Jax at the top rope. The champion delivered a devastating Avalanche Samoan Drop, positioning Bayley in the corner for the final blow. Jax hit her trademark Banzai Drop, sealing the pinfall victory to retain the WWE Women’s Championship.

Despite Bayley’s spirited effort and the chaos caused by Tiffany Stratton, Nia Jax stood tall once again, continuing her reign as WWE Women’s Champion in a match filled with drama, power, and interference.
