Top four WWE stars who should not win 2024 Money in the Bank

WWE Money in the Bank is one event that can alter a superstar’s career drastically.

WWE is set to present one of its most exciting PLEs of the year, Money in the Bank, which will take place on Saturday, July 6, 2024, at the Scotiabank Arena in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Much like each year, the event will feature the name-sake ladder matches for the coveted briefcase for both the men’s and women’s sides.

While the matches are taking shape each week on RAW and SmackDown with qualifying matches, some superstars might not be suited to grab the briefcase this year. Here are the top four names who should not win the Money in the Bank ladder match this year:

4. Andrade El Idolo

The current WWE Speed champion, Andrade El Idolo, qualified for the Money in the Bank ladder match last week on SmackDown. While he is slowly building up momentum upon his return to the company at the 2024 Royal Rumble, his booking has surely not been impressive. Moreover, the fans have not been able to get behind him, so Andrade would not be an ideal candidate to win the briefcase this year.

3. Carmelo Hayes

The NXT standout, Carmelo Hayes, had one of the most remarkable runs in the developmental territory. This led to Hayes being called up to SmackDown in the WWE Draft 2024. Hayes, since then, has performed excellently against top stars like Cody Rhodes and Randy Orton. But he is still far from building credibility like he did in NXT, with the main roster fans still not behind him. Therefore, Carmelo Hayes should not win the Money in the Bank ladder this time.

2. IYO Sky

IYO Sky climbed the heights of success when she grabbed the Money in the Bank briefcase and cashed in successfully last year to become the WWE Women’s Champion. IYO had a remarkable run since winning the coveted briefcase and now has become a top fixture for the women’s division on RAW.

Having said that, it might be time for WWE to build up another top star on the main roster, much like they did with IYO Sky last year and give someone else the win at Money in the Bank.

1. Lyra Valkyria

Lyra Valkyria has been showing some impressive feats since arriving on the main roster as part of the WWE Draft 2024. Valkyria has been seen tagging along with top stars like Becky Lynch and even reached the finals of the Queen of the Ring tournament, only to come up short.

WWE possibly believing that they might need more time to build her up, could possibly rule her out of emerging the victor in the Money in the Bank ladder next week.
