WWE Exclusive Video proves fans’ theory wrong about Damien Priest’s MITB contract
Damien Priest won the WWE 2023 Money in the Bank briefcase and has been looking to cash-in since day 1, but wasn't able to find the right time. Every time the MITB briefcase gets involved, it turns on their own faction and backfires. The briefcase developed tensions within The Judgment Day, especially between Finn Balor and Damien Priest.
They thought that the briefcase was cursed, but they finally won the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championship with the help of the briefcase as Dom hit the briefcase on Sami Zayn's head and made Balor pin Zayn at Payback.
In the latest episode of Raw, McDonagh gifted Damien Priest with a brand new personalized purple briefcase with "SEÑOR" on it at the start of the show, stating that the original one is "cursed".
Fans' story on Priests' contract
WWE fans started speculating a cash-in story of their own stating that Damien Priest would cash-in his Money in the Bank contract on Seth Rollins, and win the title, but when the referee checks for the briefcase, it doesn't have the contract in it.
The referee decides the cash-in is not legal and gives back the title to Rollins. At the time, when Priest wondering what just happened? JD McDonagh attacks Damien Priest and Finn Balor cashes-in the Money in the Bank contract instead of Priest to become the champion.
No, it's not happening
The fans' story sounds promising, but WWE has released an exclusive video on Youtube and Twitter, that proves the fans theory wrong. As Damien Priest transferred his contract to the new briefcase with Balor helping him to transfer the contract.
After transferring the contract to the new briefcase, they talked about what to do with the old case. They thought of using it as a weapon, but since it caused a lot of problems and seemed unlucky, they left the briefcase backstage.
