Nick Khan addresses CM Punk’s possible WWE return

CM Punk was fired from AEW for disciplinary actions two weeks ago. CM Punk was involved in a backstage confrontation with Jack Perry at AEW All In London after a disagreement of using the real glass in a fight. The verbal fight ended physically where both were said to leave the arena soon after their matches.
AEW formed an investigation committee to investigate the issue and suspended both. After the suggestion of backstage members and investigation reports, Tony Khan fired CM Punk and ended his contract. As Punk's career is in question mark, a rumor of Punk joining WWE has been buzzing around the internet. At this point Nick Khan was asked about Punk's possible return to WWE. Here is what he said on Punk's return possibilities.
Nick Khan on CM Punk’s return
After WWE & UFC got merged into TKO Group Holdings, Nick Khan appeared in an interview with Marc Raimondi. They discussed the merger and eventually asked about Punk's possible return. Raimondi asked Nick Khan "Whether or not WWE would be interested in bringing back CM Punk following his firing from AEW"
To which Nick Khan said,
"Listen, we only have respect for Phil. We appreciate his run here. We appreciate what he did and tried to do with the UFC. Not many people can actually get in there and do what he did. So, when we have respect for Phil, we wish him nothing but the best,"
Following this Raimondi posted on X (Twitter), "Khan didn't say yes, nor no".
As Nick Khan tactfully answered the question, do you think WWE will be interested in CM Punk after back to back issues with the former employers? As CM Punk had a good deed with UFC, will that be a driving factor for his return? Share your thoughts in the comments.
