WWE has been home to several great Canadian wrestlers over the years
WWE is the official destination for some of the best superstars from all over the world. The company hosts their weekly shows all over the world and they hold great legacy wherever they step in, and develop a number of talents there. One such iconic country for WWE is Canada, where the company has been hosting shows since 1986.
With Canada being one of the company’s most important international destinations, here we look at five of the best Canadian professional wrestlers in WWE history.
5. Trish Stratus
Trish Stratus is a Canadian born professional wrestler from Toronto, Ontario, Canada. She is the most popular Divas in the company of the late Attitude Era & Ruthless Aggression Era. She is widely popular for her monumental wrestling career and made a huge impact in the women’s division. She is considered as one of the greatest of all time and is a great inspiration for most of female wrestlers.
Trish is an eight-time champion in the company and holds the record for most female championship reigns in her era. She retired in 2006, however, she is still considered as one of the biggest women’s wrestlers in the company.

4. Chris Jericho
Chris Jericho is an American-Canadian professional wrestler, who is from Calgary, Alberta, Canada and is currently residing in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. Jericho has a great legacy and is considered one of the best pro-wrestlers in the industry. Jericho worked for WWE from 1999 to 2018 and is a 26-time champion in the company including seven world championships.
3. Edge
Edge is one of the biggest Canadian Professional Wrestlers in the company, who is from Orangeville, Ontario, Canada. Edge worked for the Stamford Company from 1996 to 2023 and is a 31-time champion in the company even before his first retirement in 2011.
He is the 13th Grand Slam Champion and the 14th Triple Crown Champion in the company. Edge has a great legacy and there is nothing in WWE that Edge has not accomplished in the company, he is also a WWE Hall of Famer.

2. Roddy Piper
Roddy Piper was one of the most influential and highly popular Canadian professional wrestlers who was from Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada. Piper has a great legacy in the pro-wrestling industry and has been the idol for a number of wrestlers. He had a long professional career from 1969 to 2011. Piper is a two time champion in the company and is a WWE Hall of Famer. WWE to pay tribute to his career established a bronze statue in 2019.
1. Bret Hart
Bret “The Hitman” Hart is one of the legendary technical wrestlers from Calgary, Alberta, Canada who WWE has witnessed. He had his WWF (now WWE) debut in 1985 and has been a game-changer for the company. When WWE was in major danger from their competitors during the 90’s, Hart carried the company single-handedly on his shoulder and made the company overcome threats.
His wrestling career has been filled with championships and achievements, as he is the five-time WWF Champion, two-time Intercontinental Champion, two times WWF Tag Team Champion and one-time United States Champion.
