Huge update on Randy Orton’s WWE return
Randy Orton has been away from WWE television for more than one and a half years (17 months) now. It’s been a long wait for the fans to see Orton return to the in-ring action. Orton suffered a legitimate back injury while performing on SmackDown in May 2022 in a Tag Team Unification match. He underwent back fusion surgery in November 2022 and his father Bob Orton reported earlier this year that Randy is recovering well and he was advised not to step inside the wrestling ring once again.
On the road to SummerSlam, Wrestling Journalist Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select reported that Orton is not cleared from his medical conditions as he hasn’t started his in-ring training yet.
In September 2023, Fightful Select confirmed that Randy Orton started his training at the performance center and attached a fan video of spotting Orton. At this stage, a positive update on Randy Orton’s return has been revealed.
Orton’s Creative Plans
According to Xero News report on X, they had heard from the source that WWE have started scripting the creative for Randy Orton’s return to the company. However, his return date has not been revealed.
Xero News on X wrote,
“Just been told WWE have begun coming up with creative for Randy Orton’s return to the company. Was not told a date for his return, but told it is in creative discussions.”
During a Q&A Session on X, BWE (BoozerRasslin) was asked about an update on Randy Orton’s progress. To which he wrote,
“He’s good. Been good for a long while. Extra cautious though”
As the entire WWE Universe has been waiting to see The Viper on television again for a long period of time, these updates could boost-up his hopes of fans. Are you excited to see Orton on the screen soon?
