AJ Styles can have some blockbuster matches if he returns to Japan for good till the end of his career.
AJ Styles is known as one of the most remarkable WWE superstars of all time. With a career spanning over two decades, The Phenomenal One has remained in his prime until now and is now looking forward to competing in the land that made him the star he is today, Japan.
As part of WWE‘s collaboration with the promotion Pro Wrestling NOAH, Styles will compete against Naomichi Marufuji at NOAH Destination 2024 on July 13 at Budokan Hall. Although if Styles decides to return to Japan for a full-time run, here are the top five dream matches that can happen for him:
5. Bryan Danielson
AJ Styles and Bryan Danielson have competed before during their epic rivalry in 2018. However, things have changed since Bryan and Styles both hold veteran status in AEW and WWE, respectively and have deep roots in Japan. With Styles coming back to Japan for one more dance and Bryan known to cross over to Japan as part of AEW’s relationship with them, wrestling fans would surely be enthralled by a massive showdown between the duo.
4. Kazuchika Okada
Before his WWE tenure began, AJ Styles was involved in an epic clash with Japanese legend Kazuchika Okada for the IWGP World Championship 2015. Citing their in-ring prowess and now status as top stars of their respective companies, a match between Okada and Styles could be an exciting possibility should he move to Japan full-time and Okada cross over as part of AEW’s relationship with the promotions there.
3. Jay White
AJ Styles and Jay White have a deep connection despite not stepping in the ring against each other so far. Both top stars have been at the helm of the popular faction, The Bullet Club, as their leaders and never had interactions despite leading two different incarnations of one of the most renowned stables in Japan.
With so much history and a never-before-seen match, White and Styles can tear down the house in an epic showdown in Japan if AJ decides to spend the last leg of his career.

2. Kenny Omega
Much like Jay White, AJ Styles and Kenny Omega’s connection also resonates deeply with their Bullet Club ties. Moreover, the duo faced each other during the early days of their respective careers in 2006, and Omega has hoped to have a dream clash against Styles to this date.
So if AJ Styles makes a permanent move to Japan, Omega, a renowned name there, could easily crossover from AEW and put on the dream showdown that the wrestling fans would be enthralled to see.
1. Will Ospreay
Another dream encounter that can happen if AJ Styles moves to Japan on a full-time basis could be against Will Ospreay. A match that has never taken place between two of the best wrestling stars in the industry could blow the roof off the place.
While the match would have happened if Ospreay had chosen to sign with WWE after a conversation with AJ, however, things did not work out. But with Styles returning to Japan for a one-off match, a permanent move in the future could open the doors to a potential Ospreay bout.
