Chad Gable is one of the highly talented wrestlers in WWE, with incredible strength and tackling ground skills. He has been in WWE since 2013 and is acknowledged as a tag team wrestler for most of the time. Gable however proved his caliber as a singles wrestler and became one of the undeniable stars in the company.

Gable had performed as both face and heel in the company, however, his current heel turn has become the biggest talking point of his career. Gable is now in pursuit of the Intercontinental Championship and will be facing Sami Zayn and Bronson Reed for the title at the King and Queen of the Ring PLE. Ahead of their bout, here are three reasons why Chad Gable should win the Intercontinental Championship at WWE King and Queen of the Ring.

3. Better storylines can be build

Chad Gable winning the Intercontinental Championship at King and Queen of the Ring PLE could add more interesting storylines along with the title reign with his cocky behaviour.

Gable’s tense relationship with Alpha Academy members could make Otis vs Gable for the IC title. He could form a new faction to protect himself from losing the title, similar to how Bloodline helped Roman to retain the title in the last three years.

2. Chad Gable deserves a singles title win

Chad Gable has been proving himself to be one of the highly potential singles wrestlers since mid-2023. Gable was so close to winning the Intercontinental Championship last year in a match against Gunther.

He was the one who was heavily discussed to dethrone Gunther at Mania, however, he didn’t get the title shot. Gable’s rise from a jobber to one of the undeniable stars makes him the most deserving wrestler to win the IC title. He had a long wait for the title and it is just the right time to make him the IC champion.

1. Chad Gable could become the next Kurt Angle

Chad Gable is one of the few Olympians in the company, who has a long-standing relationship with the company. Gable is often compared to Kurt Angle as they share quite some similarities. His current heel character has been similar to Angle’s iconic heel run in the company, and the fans also gave him the “You Suck” chants.

An IC title win could make him the next Kurt Angle of the company, as Angle’s first championship title in WWE is also the IC title. Similar to that, Gable teaming up with Creed Brothers could be reminiscent of Team Angle.
