Adam "Edge" Copeland’s AEW Debut match announced
Christian Cage and Darby Allin went on a brutal war against each other at AEW WrestleDream, where Cage won the match. Christian brutalized Allin during and after the match, where Nick Wayne and LuchaSaurus joined Christian to worsen the situation. Sting came to the aid of Allin, but the number’s game took them off. When Christian & Co. tried to end Sting’s career, lights went off and The Rated “R” Superstar Adam Copeland (Edge) made his debut with the existing Metalingus theme and pyros.
Adam Copeland (Edge) came to the aid of Allin against his longtime friend Christian. He took chair shots on Wayne and Saures and speared them, making a memorable debut in AEW. Following his debut, Edge appeared on the Post-Show Media Scrum, where Tony Khan officially revealed that “Adam Copeland is All Elite” and will be more than a wrestler in the company. Nick Khan not only revealed Copeland’s status but also his debut match and opponent.
Copeland’s AEW Debut Match & Opponent
In the post show media scrum Tony Khan said that Copeland will appear on October 4, 2023 episode of Dynamite, October 7, 2023 episode of Collision, and October 10th ‘Title Tuesday’ edition of Dynamite.
Tony Khan also revealed that his debut match will be on October 10 at ‘Title Tuesday’ against one of the three members who he confronted on his AEW debut at WrestleDream, that is Lucha Saurus.
Khan added that Copeland will be in a full-time role and would be appearing on the show every week and wrestle regularly.
At the same time, Copeland expressed his excitement to work with AEW, and in the Indies after a long time. He also revealed some of the superstars named that he wished to fight against namely Samoa Joe, Nick Wayne, Sting, Swerve Strickland, Jon Moxley, Claudio Castagnoli, and Kenny Omega.
