The 2024 Clash at the Castle could be the turning point for a number of storylines

WWE recently hosted the 2024 Clash at the Castle on June 15, 2024, from the OVO Hydro in Glasgow, Scotland. It was one of the best shows of the company in recent times and has overcome expectations with a lot of twists and turns. Five matches were held and one title changed hands. As the Clash at the Castle 2024 is finally over, here are some of the key takeaways from the show.

4. Otis will be the breakout star of Alpha Academy

Otis played a major role during the Intercontinental Championship match between Chad Gable and Sami Zayn at Clash at the Castle. The internal tensions with Alpha Academy played out during the match, where Otis started turning against Gable.

When choosing between Gable and Maxxine, Otis chose Maxxine’s health over Gable’s greed, which made Gable lose his last shot at the Intercontinental Championship. All this seems like Otis could be the breakout star of Alpha Academy, who will save fellow Academy members from Gable’s toxic leadership.

3. Drew McIntyre may never be a World Champion again

In the main event of the show, the hometown favorite Drew McIntyre was so close to becoming the World Champion for the fourth time, however, CM Punk cost him his title win, entering as a referee and helping Priest to retain the title.

After the show, during the Press Conference, Punk promised that Drew McIntyre would never be a World Champion with Punk in WWE. Drew also had his rematch and now needs to step on the back of the line for another title shot. This seemingly suggests that Drew may never be a World Champion again.

2. The Bloodline targets Cody Rhodes again

After Cody Rhodes successfully retained his Undisputed WWE Championship against AJ Styles in an “I Quit match”. As Cody made his way backstage, Solo Sikoa had a face-off with Rhodes at the entrance ramp. Where the other members of the Bloodline attacked Cody from the back & Kevin Owens and Randy Orton saved Cody. The post-match attack suggests that The Bloodline is again targeting Cody Rhodes to bring the Undisputed WWE Championship back to the Bloodline.

1. CM Punk will soon be medically cleared

CM Punk appeared in the final moments of the Clash at the Castle PLE as the substitute referee and saw him banging his hands on the floor for the fall. In the post-show press conference, Punk said that he is about to get medically cleared. He said that he will go to Chicago skipping this week’s Raw to check with doctors and get medically cleared soon.
