Who is the mysterious luchador attacking LWO on WWE RAW every week? Exploring the possibilities

The mysterious luchador once again ambushed LWO on 03/17 WWE Raw
On last week’s episode of Monday Night Raw, LWO (Rey Mysterio & Dragon Lee) battled New Day (Xavier Woods & Kofi Kingston) in a tornado tag team match. LWO looked in control as they were cruising for a swift victory.
However, it all changed when a masked assailant appeared and ambushed Mysterio and Lee landing two brutal German suplexes on the concrete floor. When security got a hold of him he yelled “Gracias” and the camera zoomed in to expose the words written on his mask, “American Made”.
This along with Chad Gable‘s absence to conquer the ‘dark’ arts of luchador made many people believe that it was him, while Gable completely denied the allegations in a backstage interview with Cathy Kelley who tried to press the issue, during the segment we see security detaining a man in the same mask and attire which seemingly puts any doubts to rest about Gable’s role.
Fast forward to this week’s episode of WWE Raw from Brussels, Belgium, and LWO are battling the Creed Brothers (Julius & Brutus Creed), after tough opposition Mysterio is able to land the iconic 619 and claim the victory for LWO.
Has Chad Gable mastered the ‘dark’ arts of lucha libre wrestling?
While Lee and Mysterio were celebrating the win, the American Made luchador ambushed again taking down Dragon Lee with brutal shots followed by the German suplex. Msyetrio tried to fight back but met the same fate as security rushed in the mysterious luchador escaped through the crowd stands.
While many including Mysterio and Lee believe that the masked luchador is in fact Chad Gable, the latter has stayed on his comment and denied any involvement or role. In a WWE Monday Night Raw Digital Exclusive, Gable inquired about the ‘mystery man’ with his faction and assured his pupils that he would take action.
“Did they catch him? Tell me they caught that guy. This is two weeks in a row. No? I’m going to do something about this.” Gable said.
Notably, Gable was once again wearing the same attire as the masked luchador, he once again emphasized that he and the mystery man are not the same person, despite what some may believe. It is also interesting to note that the masked luchador and Gable were not seen on screen at the same time.
The Stamford-based promotion is now selling American Made lucha masks, which likely means that the storyline is just starting and we might get more closure in the coming weeks. Fans and pundits continue to speculate that the masked luchador is in fact Chad Gable, but it’s innocent until proven guilty!
