The Hong Kong Open 2023 is the 22nd tournament of the 2023 BWF (Badminton World Federation) World Tour. It is a Super 500 tournament and is scheduled to be held at the Hong Kong Coliseum in Hong Kong. The tournament is set to take place from September 12 to September 17, 2023, and boasts a total prize pool of $420,000.
The BWF Hong Kong Open 2023 provides a platform for both emerging talents and established stars to showcase their skills on the badminton court and serves as the stage where elite athletes showcase their brilliance in various categories - men’s and women’s singles, doubles (men’s and women’s), and mixed doubles.
India's top ranked men's singles player HS Prannoy alongside Asian champions Satwik-Chirag have give the tournament a miss. However, Kiran George who won the Indonesia Masters title last week will be looking to make a mark in the higher-grade events.
