Becky Lynch is one of the most popular women’s professional wrestlers and is the highest paid female wrestler in WWE. She is considered as one of the greatest women’s wrestlers of all time for her monumental career. She played a major role in the women’s revolution and for the development of the women's division. Her contribution to the wrestling industry is now paying debt to her in the form of fame, money, popularity and championships.
She has recently achieved a monumental landmark in her career by winning all the championships in the current women’s division. Which eventually made her the Sixth- Grand Slam Champion in the women’s division. To celebrate Becky’s Grand Slam career, here we go through her journey to become the Grand Slam Champion.
Becky Lynch’s road to Grand Slam Champion
SmackDown Women’s Champion (4 times)
First reign
Becky Lynch won her first SmackDown Women's Championship at the 2016 Backlash, by defeating five other wrestlers in a six-pack elimination match. She became the inaugural SmackDown Women's Champion and marked her first championship reign in WWE. Becky held the title for 84 days and dropped the title to Alexa Bliss at TLC pay-per-view.
Second reign
It took a whole two years for Becky Lynch to win the SmackDown Women's Championship for the second time. Becky Lynch won the championship from Charlotte Flair at Hell in a Cell, where Becky adopted "The Man" gimmick for the first time and has become one of the dominant women's wrestler. Becky Lynch held the championship for 91 days and dropped the championship to Asuka in a Triple Threat Ladder Match at TLC.
Third reign
This is a first ever combined reign of the Women's Championship and the greatest ever milestone of the women's division. Becky Lynch won the 2019 Royal Rumble and main evented WrestleMania 35. She won the Winner Takes All Triple Threat Match by defeating Raw Women's Champion Ronda Rousey & SmackDown Women's Champion Charlotte Flair. Becky became the first women to hold both Raw and SmackDown Women's Championship at the same time. Becky held the SmackDown Women's Championship for 41 days and lost the title to Charlotte Flair at Money in the Bank.
Fourth reign
Bianca Belair was set to defend the SmackDown Women's Championship against Sasha Banks. Since Banks was not medically cleared to compete, Carmella came as a replacement. When the bell about to ring, Becky Lynch returned after Maternity leave and replaced Carmella. Becky Lynch squashed Belair in 26 seconds and became the SmackDown Women's Champion for the fourth time. She held the championship for 62 days and swapped the title to Raw Women's Championship as a result of 2021 Draft.
Raw Women’s Champion (2 times)
First reign
Becky Lynch won the Raw Women's Championship for the first time at WrestleMania 35 in a combined reign. She held both Raw and SmackDown Women's Championship by defeating Ronda Rousey and Charlotte Flair. Lynch lost the SmackDown Women's Championship in 41 days, however held the championship for 398 days. This reign of Lynch is considered as one of the dominant reign where she gained fame and popularity. Lynch vacated the title due to pregnancy and crowned the Money in the Bank winner Asuka as the champion.
Second reign
Becky's second reign as Raw Women's Championship came after the 2021 Draft where she swapped SmackDown Women's Championship to Charlotte Flair and took Raw Women's Championship from her. She held the championship for 162 days and dropped it to Bianca Belair at WrestleMania 38, Night 1.
WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion (1 time)
Becky Lynch and Lita won the WWE Women's Tag Team Championship from Dakota Kai and IYO SKY of Damage CTRL on February 27, 2023 episode of Raw. They held the championship for 41 days and lost it to Raquel Rodriguez and Liv Morgan as Trish, who replaced Lita to defend the championship got pinned and turned on Becky Lynch.
NXT Women’s Champion (1 time)
Becky Lynch won the NXT Women's Championship from Tiffany Stratton on the September 12, 2023 episode of NXT and this made her the Grand Slam Women's Champion. She is the Sixth-Women's Grand Slam Champion of WWE.
