Cody Rhodes is one of the greatest babyfaces of all time and is one of the successful wrestlers on WWE since his return in 2022. Cody Rhodes has evolved into one of the toughest wrestlers to be defeated and only few members have done that; however, since his return, Rhodes has only got pinned once.

Since he is one of the toughest wrestlers to be pinned, who are the last eight wrestlers to pin Cody Rhodes in WWE? Read further to find out the stars who were able to outlast the American Nightmare and edge out a win over him.

Seth Rollins

At Crown Jewel 2025, Cody, the Undisputed WWE Champion, battled the World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins in a ‘Champion vs Champion’ clash for the men’s Crown Jewel title. Cody was undefeated against Rollins going into the match, but Rollins was able to turn the tide this time around and pin Rhodes to win the Crown Jewel title and register his first win over Rhodes.

John Cena

In his quest to become the one and only 17-time WWE World Champion and break the tie with Ric Flair, John Cena managed to win the men’s Elimination Chamber. This meant he would face the then Undisputed Champion Cody in the main event of WrestleMania.

During the match, John with an assist from Travis Scott pinned Rhodes to capture the title. Notably, Rhodes regained the throne after defeating Cena in the rematch at SummerSlam.

Solo Sikoa

At Money in the Bank 2024, Cody Rhodes teamed up with Randy Orton and Kevin Owens to faced Solo Sikoa, Tama Tonga and Jacob Fatu of the Bloodline in a six-way tag team match. During the match, Solo Sikoa with the assist from Jacob Fatu pinned Cody Rhodes to secure the win for The Bloodline.

The Rock

At WrestleMania 40 Night 1, Cody teamed up with Seth Rollins and faced The Rock and Roman Reigns of The Bloodline in a tag team match, which decides the Night 2 title match stipulation. During the match, Rock delivered a Rock bottom and the People’s elbow on Cody and pinned him to win the match.

Drew McIntyre

In February 2024 on an episode of Monday Night Raw, Drew McIntyre faced Cody in a singles match in the main event of the show. During the match, when Cody tried to deliver a Cross Rhodes on Drew, Jimmy Uso distracted the referee and made Solo Sikoa perform a Samoan Spike on Cody. Drew with the assist delivered a Claymore and pinned Cody Rhodes.

Roman Reigns

Roman Reigns defended his Undisputed WWE Universal Championship titles against Cody Rhodes at the main event of WrestleMania 39- Night 2. This is the first time Cody Rhodes is main eventing WrestleMania and is having his first major shot at the world championship since returning. Rhodes was the people’s favourite to win the championship, despite a hard fight and close calls, Cody was pinned for the first time since return by Roman Reigns with the help of Solo Sikoa. 

Zack Ryder (Matt Cardona)

This is the last match of Cody Rhodes in his first run. Cody Rhodes under the name Stardust fought Zack Ryder at the May 16, 2019 taped episode of WWE Superstars, where Zack Ryder defeated Stardust.

Apollo Crews

Stardust (Rhodes) faced Apollo Crews at the May 10, 2023 episode of WWE Main Event, where Apollo Crews defeated Star Dust by pinfall. Crews defeated Stardust the previous day at the May 9, 2016 episode of WWE Superstars by pinfall; both matches were taped and didn’t aired live. 

Dolph Ziggler

Dolph Ziggler faced Stardust (Cody Rhodes) at the May 3, 2016 episode of WWE Main Event, where Dolph Ziggler pinned Stardust for the win.

Considering the main roster shows, Apollo Crews defeated  (Stardust) Cody Rhodes twice by Pinfall on the April 26, 2016 episode of WWE SmackDown and on the April 25, 2016 episode of WWE Raw. On the January 19, 2016 episode of SmackDown, Titus O’Niel defeated Stardust by pinfall.
